Comments in Middle East border on bizarre...
Bill Clinton (in Qatar) called the cartoon depictions of Muhammad published by the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten last fall "totally outrageous cartoons against Islam," ...
In fact, the cartoons are pretty tame stuff -- the Islamic prophet is not shown as dirty, drooling, shaped like an animal or engaged in any unsavory acts, all standard for cartoon depictions of Jews in the modern Arab press.
Mr. Clinton is entitled to his opinion, of course, though one wonders why he would want to gin up more hostility toward the West with an inflammatory characterization of drawings his audience might not yet have been able to view for themselves.
But if Mr. Clinton's description was merely excessive, the remarks of... Al Gore to the Jiddah Economic Forum ...go far beyond any mere verbal stumbling or understandable desire to ingratiate himself with his hosts.
This goes beyond being politically unwise. It is bizarre.
Al Gore clearly has a problem.
The son of a famous father, Mr. Gore is "deeply insecure about his ability, stature and credentials," ..."Why Gore lies."
"He feels that he needs to go the extra mile to burnish his image even if he has to make things up," wrote Mr. Morris -- himself no paragon of rectitude, let us hasten to add.
But perhaps it takes one to know one.
Those in foreign lands may not realize Al Gore is merely one of our more excitable peddlers of tall tales.
(Remember how he invented the Internet?)
What on earth might happen if they believe him?
Thank goodness no one ever placed this man in a position where the fate of nations might have hung on his word.
Oh, wait ...

Is "Al Gore Thinking" an Oxymoron or an Enviro-Moron?
Give me the green.
Insane people don't think. They can't! Thats why they can get away with all sorts of crap! George W Bush is proof that there is a Almighty God in Heavens that still loves and cares for us. Imagine this jerk wad Gore behind the controls! Frightening!
Enviro-nazi/idiot...
Thats the problem: he can't think for himself, thats why he invented the Internet.....
NOTHING
What? Is Al Gore thinking?
I think he's so clueless and limelight-addicted that he doesn't realize even American crowds don't care to hear his blather anymore. He now has to farm himself out to terror groups and terror supporters for quick cash.
Hey, whatever happened to his tv network? BUAHAHAHHA!
What is Al Gore thinking?
Republicans terrify me so they must be terrorists!
HA!
The words "Al Gore" and "thinking" should never appear in the same sentence.
Al Gore thinks?
Hey, how could anyone know? Gore has never thought before in his life, and his Jiddah comments were probably a spastic outburst. But it is beyond scary that he came so close to the presidency.
We should Freep this...
"an Oxymoron or an Enviro-Moron?"
Al Gore is still trying to make his father happy...
I love the way Civ IV (the computer game) has a picture of Al Gore for the Internet great wonder. Hilarious.
"Why Gore lies."
He's a whackjob.
Al Gore hates big oil.
So he is giving economic advice to Big Oil ?
Hello.
Prince Albert. `e's not dead,
`e's just restin'.
Depicting Jews as whatever is NOT equivalent to depicting prophet of Islam in insulting manner.
Muslims are portrayed as imbeciles commonly in Western Media and that did not lead to all the protests.
The difference is that this time their prophet is dragged in insult game.
Are Jesus or Moses depicted in an insulting manner in Islamic world? No one has presented any evidence of that. If that was the case, then two would be equal.
It is OK unfortunately for our media to make fun of Jesus and except for few complains here and there, no one cares. Now if the same treatment is extended to other religion's holy figures, there reaction is not going to be same because they infact treat their holy figures as holy.
