Who devised this new system~~~the U.N.? The ISU. A more corrupt organization than the UN.

yes, Yes, YES. O.K. I said it. I thought Alan was married to Candy. And LUCKY to get HER. As time goes on, I'm sure I'll be able to look back and laugh at my ignorance. But it's all so fresh..lol!

Skaters who can turn quads consistently tend to be bigger and stronger than the "artistic" ones, and it's probably no coincidence that the ones who turn quads consistently are more likely to be heterosexual. Kurt Browning, Scott Hamilton and Elvis come to mind when I think of strong skaters who, along with their many triples and quads, told a story when they skated. That seems to be lacking with the new point system and without choreography and wonderful music, it doesn't excite me as much. I suspect the same will hold true with the women who must adhere to the new system and I will be terribly disappointed to see that happening to a sport I enjoyed watching.

Yes. He didn't resign...yet. He needs 6 more wins for his 800. I don't know if he'll be back, but I hope so. A nicer man you'll never meet.
This skeleton sport is just not right! I wonder who thought this up?

Hey, don't feel bad....it makes more sense for Alan to be married to Candy Crowley...and Monica's sister!

I have been watching skating for 20+ years and I have to say this is the swishiest bunch of male skaters I have ever seen. Their costumes, choreography -- all of it was just Schlitz gay. Back 10 years ago, you had guys like Kurt Browning and Elvis Stojko skating in somewhat normal costumes to manly music like "Enter the Dragon," etc. and not performing the ballerina's part from classical ballets. Even Brian Boitano was respectably masculine skating to Frank Sinatra, etc. But these guys...yeesh!
I don't know if it's the new system or just the mood of the times.

"I suspect the same will hold true with the women who must adhere to the new system and I will be terribly disappointed to see that happening to a sport I enjoyed watching. " I think you will find that to be true. I watched the women a few weeks ago, in the nationals. It struck me the same way. I'm no expert, but I've been watching skating for many years, the new scoring system has ruined the sport.

I know! It did to me, too!
