Doctors rallying Monday at the Capitol warned lawmakers that legislation aimed at denying state services to illegal immigrants may further strain overcrowded emergency rooms and endanger the health of all Georgians.
About 150 physicians, medical students and other health care workers labeled as "immoral" and "dangerous" proposals that would make it harder for some illegal immigrants to get publicly funded health care and called the bills an affront to their profession.

What doctos labeled this "immoral" need to have their licenses suspended.
These doctors have made their decision, now let them fund it.
Isn't there a group called Doctors Without Borders? Can't they form something like that to treat the border hoppers?
If they believe illegals should get services, then let them serve them. No one is stopping them, just don't demand that we pay for it.
"From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs", just like Karl Marx said.
Why can't we a ICE substation at every Hospital and grab them while they are there.
Well you should write your congressman and tell him to repeal EMTALA. That law mandates that doctors treat anyone that comes to an Emergency Room. The law demands we treat anyone who shows up but for some reason payment is not addressed. Laws that demand something for nothing have a tendency to cause that something to become very scarce....
Doctors realize the taxpayer picks up the tab for illegals being treated. Doctors are only looking out for their own family by milking the taxpayer. Milk the taxpayer is the same game that has been going on for decades by the medical profession, why change now? All of the free health care is only free for certain groups or individuals, the taxpayer always pays for certain groups or individuals, with higher taxes or higher insurance premiums. This will always be the case no matter what type of system is in place.
Considering that my Congressman is also a doctor (Tom Price), do you think he would go along?
As a physician I say let these physicians do the moral thing and see these people for free or let them pay out their bill. That is what I prefer an do. Many pay. Better than citizens. These are the same types of physician sthat demand full payment up front. Shame on them. Where is their true compassion. I know they have none they are political socialists.
Hmm. Maybe these humanitarian physicians could ease the illegals' suffering by donating their BMWs and Aspen timeshares to the coffers of their respective state goverments.
Who's stopping them?
No one wants to deny any person in need medical treatment, I just don't want to get stuck with the bill. My family pays enormous deductions for insurance, which often only pays part of the bill, and we have to tighten our belts to pay off the difference. I had to have a renal ultrasound yesterday and I have no idea how much my insurance is going to pay...but if I were indigent, I wouldn't have to worry about that.
"Considering that my Congressman is also a doctor (Tom Price), do you think he would go along?"
Congressman Tom Price is my representative too.
I believe he doesn't support services for illegals. He strongly spoke out against Hillary Care back in 1993, before he was into any kind of politics. Also he is a member of Tancredo's house immigration reform caucus.
Price is pretty strong on the immigration issue.
Immigration reform is the real answer, less illegals here, less need for 'care'.
But still, let us as Kevorkian to donate some services in his 'van'.
An affront to every AMERICAN is the POTUS's DECISION NOT TO STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
GWB - THE COP OUT PRESIDENT.
Which letter of the word illegal do these health care wrokers and medical students don't understand?
Deport the illegal alien invaders! Deport them NOW!
Since you're a physician, please explain to me how we will be able to handle TB and other infectious conditions if we allow even more untreated individuals to wander around?
While you're at it, please explain how you'd handle unconscious accident victims? ER patients presenting with stroke or heart attack?
