It isn't the muslims that have to be killed, it is islam.
This is not a conventional battle, though parts of it certainly are. This first and foremost a battle of ideas.
Islam has, because of the isolation of the desert and its violent means of propagation, avoided modern examination. It is a horse and buggy technology (actually much worse) living in the jet age. If the civilized people of this planet have the courage to speak openly and honestly about the anachronisticity (now there's a word you don't need every day) of islam, and if our governments and institution allow modern life to have its way with islam...printing cartoons and writing insulting editorials and giving islam the same treatment given to all ideas, I think islam will soon realize that it was right about one point all along...
This planet is too small for islam and any competing ideas...either islam dominates or dies.
Unfortunately, there is still a fly in the ointment. Islam ain't gonna give in without a fight...and its about to go nuclear!
I can buy into that a lot easier than into the "kill 'em all" rhetoric.
I don't want to fight a religious war, but it sure beats a genocidal one.
Those who proclaim their desire to "kill 'em all" should be willing to personally cut the throats of the first 10 Muslim babies. Either that or shut up.
I can agree with your definition. The problem is that they're trying to kill my family. They can believe anything they wish and I couldn't care less. Once their beliefs cross the line into action, the gloves come off.
I would also suggest that we may have to provide moderate Muslims with an incentive to fight against their radical brothers. The best incentive I can think of is to point out that those fighting on our side are a lot less likely to be mistaken for the enemy.

The irony is they are often the first posters on the anti-abortion, child abuse, Amber Alerts, murdered child threads etc.
If you become the monster you're fighting, you've lost the war.
And I don't agree with the author's suggestion that somehow WE need to change things in America to make it easier for "moderate" Muslims to exert some kind of peer pressure on their lunatic brethern.
The author asks if Muslims here in America have anything to fear from speaking out against Islamofascism. The answer is: NOT FROM NON-MUSLIM AMERICANS.
But isn't it telling that what they do fear is OTHER MUSLIMS?

I agree. I doubt seriously that any of them really mean it. I can think of no conceivable scenario in which the only way we could end this war is by intentionally killing over 1,000,000,000 people.
It's not like they have the capability to annhilate us and we have to do it to them first.

The nuke will not be detonated in Israel. It, or more likely they, will be detonated on US soil, in a plan to simultaneously paralyze government and the world’s economic engine simultaneously. We are headed for a clash of civilizations. Unlike that battle which began October 10,732 AD, the approaching war will be much longer, dirtier and bloodier. We will vanquish Islam but it will be at a terrible cost.
And if islam gains the majority in America we will be dragged down to the level of the other islamic countries.
It's up to them to REFORM.
Impossible, islam is very strict in its demands there is no hope that islam can join the free world, ever. The only hope is to replace it with an other religion. It is islam that must go or we must give up our freedoms to it eventually.
Personally, slavery has no appeal to me.
Agreed - Total annilihation is the only response. The other side is already committed to this solution for America, any noise to the contrary is just rhetoric to cause us to flinch.

I am not confident that this is true. Some undoubtedly do, but my impression is that a large "silent majority" just live off the land and keep their heads down.
Japan worked because we crushed their cultural illusions with two atomic bombs, defeated their emporer and bent him to our will, and put on an overwhelming display of conventional might on VJ Day.
The Japanese who mattered knew that resistance was not only futile but would be fatal. A defeat of corresponding proportions will be necessary to bring reason to the islamic backwaters.
