F**k the Hudson River Fish Wrapper Co. They've been looking for the Next Big Watergate scandal since Dubya took office. Granted, getting a faceful of birdshot from a sitting veep isn't quite on the same level as him backing into your car, but you'd think he was caught setting off a nuke in Frisco 'cuz he doesn't like tofu-munching tailgunners. ('Course, I'd probably cover his back on that one.....)

I can imagine that Ronnie Earl is rushing to take this to the grand jury.

Right now, there are a lot of democratic strategists and media types hoping and praying for this guy to die so they'll finally get something on Cheney.
They are members of the culture of death.

As soon as I heard of this incident I knew the media was going to go over the top. Iran could fire a missle at Israel right now and I almost think they would either ignore it or bury it on page 22.

Hell hath no fury like a wussy reporter scorned. Grand jury! Grand jury! The NYT, I believe, has had their reporters before a grand jury. More to come.

The MSM is just salivating hoping Mr. Whittington will die. This is just disgusting. I hope he gets well soon, just to pi$$ them off.

Here we are, praying for Cheney's friend to recover and there they are, praying that he doesn't. I can almost see the drool on their foolish faces. Laughable.

VP Cheney has been cleared of any wrong doing, and nothing will change that. NYslimes can kiss my arse. Prayers up for Mr. Whittington for a speedy recovery, and for VP Cheney that God console him for his grief in accidentally harming a friend.

First of all, what we have so far is "a fatality would "immediately spur a new report from the local sheriff
Of course it would spur a new report. The current report states the man is injured.
Then we have "and, most likely, a grand jury investigation"
"Most likely" doesn't mean absolutely.

Actually if he dies, then Cheney will most likely be charged with negligent homicide. Anytime you accidentally kill someone and it is the result of your negligence, then you are guilty of negligent homicide.

GOOD GRIEF!!!! the doctors said today they expect this guy to live a long time!!!!!!!! this is just the nyt giving grief to everyone, they HATE Bush so much, they print lie after lie, why should this be any different??
