NYT: CHENEY FACES GRAND JURY INVESTIGATION IF MAN DIES... In Texas, Carlos Valdez, the district attorney in Kleberg County, said a fatality would immediately spur a new report from the local sheriff and, most likely, a grand jury investigation... MORE...
Looks like somebody's hoping for a funerally.
You're raking the muck and obviously enjoying yourself.
LOL -- of course not, and I would have loved to have seen that ape face's questions during the Swimmer's "accident."
The NYT should be more concerned about their own Grand Jury investigation re the NSA leaks.
That observation has been made here by others too.
Sad, isn't it?
I think they are, but this helps to keep them out of the top stories....
Pinch Sulzberger has to have internet followers, doncha know?
people are on this thread calling me the lunatic, and now you are telling me that you think Cheney is not talking because he fears being the defendant in a criminal case? that he is essentially invoking the 5th?
you better rethink your post, before "a citizen reporter" comes after you next.
Man they must be bored in New York. What, no child porn for them to look at?
So? Look at all the scrutiny NOW and the man is still very much alive. They're trying to find something, anything, to hurt the Vice President. It's obvious they wish the shooting had been the other way around.
(I know you didn't...but if you ask me, this is going to bite them in the butt in the same way the rearends of Dims got punctured when their viciousness caused Mrs. Alito to cry. 'Normal' people don't take well to these pathetic attempts to turn things political when it's something they can all relate to on a personal level.)
What are you worried about? lil ole me? LOL!
ANY time a GOP president or the second in line are involved in ANYTHING, double, triple scrutiny and investigations are the first order of business.
Worry not.
NYT prays? The End must indeed be near. I think we all better get our tin-foil hats before it's too late.
That's not the point, although federal hunting regulations are the worst. The point is that the Vice President of the US is going hunting. They made it a point to pay all the necessary fees and licenses, but they missed one. And that's the point. If the VP with all his staff that exists for the purpose of saving him embarrassment can miss a $7 fee, how are any of the rest of us to avoid the trap?
I said no such thing. Do not put words into my mouth.
I have stated that the VP is devastated and that a statement from him at this time is STOOOPID and ill advised.
He wants ALL the facts, much more than you, I, or the damn media.
Remember when the MSM use to always speculate if a story had "legs"?
Well, this story was truly 'dead on arrival'. The injured man is going to be fine. All the hoopla being raised is only in HOPES of giving it legs....
It's a distraction, one need only look at all the other stories that are not being covered and you can see why.
no, I am talking about the real scrutiny of the legal apparatus, not the media frenzy. whatever it might be, I don't know the laws in texas. I know in NY, more and more, I see simple traffic accidents (no DUI, etc) where a fatality is involved - all turning into "cases". that doesn't mean everyone is charged, or that they go to trial or are convicted. but all I am saying is, if this man passes away - this whole story moves into another phase.
Heck yeah they pray...but it is not to God Almighty, Jesus or the Holy Spirit. They pray to the spirit of Yellow Journalism.
Seems like most hunters avoided it.
I'm not disagreeing with you per se, I just don't see the connection. If Cheney had some control over local fees, I would, and would support their elimination.
Liberals on the net are calling for Cheney's head- and put inn jail for murder.
