I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.
I have never gone hunting with ultra-rich Republicans on a Saturday afternoon, but I have seen them tailgating at Ivy League football games, so it's hard for me to believe that any of their Saturday lunches are alcohol free
Larry is an idiot...I guess all tailgaters are all Repubs.....geeeeeeeeesh!
FR is a good way to learn politics.
I got a kick out of that, too... I didn't know we walked around with tags saying I'm a Republican. Must be our SUV's gives us away.
Ex-Senator Simpson straightened everything out (to Dick Cheney's benefit) last night on Chris Matthews show. Mr. Simpson was a great friend of Dick last night........ as he should have been. He explained everything ........... and Dick looked magnificent...........as he should have.
Nice picture, but you should have asked him if he planned on shooting anyone over the weekend. You would have saved the press alot of heartburn. LOL!
Arsenic has been used in lead shot as a hardener for centuries.
"Arsenic hardens lead, and is used in alloys for making lead shot and in lead-acid battery plates. It is also said to make lead shot more spherical" http://www.du.edu/~jcalvert/phys/arsenic.htm
"Arsenic is used with lead (0.5% As) in making lead shot. It makes the metal harder than the pure lead and improves the properties of the molten material". http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/pertab/as.html
"Inorganic arsenic is a deadly poison and a well known carcinogenic substance. It is used in the making of all lead shot." http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/youropinions.php?opinionid=5352
"*Tip: Lead shot has .5 to 1.0% arsenic (depending on the manufacturer) and can be used as a hardening agent when heat treating lead and lead-antimony alloys. 1/4 of 1% arsenic is all it takes. Adding any more than this adds nothing & will not further harden the alloy." http://www.lasc.us/CastBulletNotes.htm
Decades ago, I routinely cast my own fishing sinkers from scrap lead, indluding recovered shot & bullets. I had to be more careful of asenic fumes boiling off than I ever worried about the lead itself.
I'm NOT worried about this, but rather wonder how The Press will fulinate about, "If he didn't kill the poor man by gunning him down, then he may still kill him by slow poisoning...."
I love that name................... honestly.
Thread pulled.
Did Chris Matthews get it -- or did it float right over his head. I got sick of all the talk shows last night and finally watched Anderson Cooper, who was talking about something other than this shooting accident.
I disagree, and most bipartisan observers in DC believe that Gore would have brought in his own people had he become President upon a Clinton resignation, which was clearly justified and should have occurred.
Do you really believe that if Gore had been the incumbent President in November 2000, that he would have lost the election to Governor Bush?
Terror plots are foiled all the time, even under Democratic presidents. According to many sources, Bush and his team were close on the heels of unraveling 9-11. Part of their difficulty was that they had been in power for less than 9 months, compounded by an abbreviated transition period.
Had Gore been President during 1999-2000, then elected to a full term in November 2000, who knows? Perhaps 9/11 would not have occurred. Probably not, but we'll never know.
Cheney being drunk has been floated or insinuated from the left today and yesterday on several radio stations (Jay Severin) and (John Dipitro) here in Boston alone.
This says more about their own behavior than Cheney's. Getting drunk and shooting someone would be the stupid behavior that they would do and assume other people would be guilty as well.
;-)
who are the dear girls?
Good!
Tigers don't change their stripes just because we move them. Gore is -- well, Gore is Gore and I thank God he wasn't President on 911 --
Sounds to me that Larry, an intellectual lightweight, is suffering from Ivy Envy.
I concur. I am glad that Gore was not President on 9/11.
Or on any day. Ever.
