Whittington Back in ICU (FNC Reporting Minor Heart Attack)

I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.

How is Scott McLellan going to explain that none of this was revealed during his presser earlier today, when this happened at 6:30 this morning and those docs have been in touch with the wh docs. They had to have known?

FWIW, birdshot is really, really small. Tiny. So it can be in all kinds of places and stay there forever.

This is not fishy. Frankly, it is not of our business. IF it had been the VP that had been injured, we would be in a different situation. But the VP accidentally injuring a fellow hunter is not. It is the kind of thing that would be in the paper, but not as the banner headline.

Frankly, the fishy part is how the press is making it into something it is not.

Brit gave her an appropriate smackdown for that comment.

I'm concerned for Cheney's health. The stress of this ordeal is undoubtedly weighing heavy on the Vice President's own heart.

The rumor was already out there this morning and the hospital had issued a statement they would not comment until the press conference - it's not Scott's fault no one asked him about it, is it?

That doctor all but had Mr. Whittington in the grave. But, that's about par for the course on this story--this generation of "media" is the rudest and ugliest ever. They interrogated the doctors at the hospital as though they were criminals--I got the feeling that if our side questioned the worst of the terrorists in Guantanamo that way, they'd have been accused of prisoner abuse!

LOL. The guy of Fox now says there's a shotgun shell in there and moves into a possible case of negligence against Cheney. This is going downhill fast.

Well, maybe you know nothing about anatomy???

If a pellet entered the bloodstream, it will eventually travel to the heart. However, that is not what they are saying happened. The Doctors said it was lodged near or in the heart muscle, which caused inflammation, or a silent heart attack.
