I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.
Speaking of body armor....Kerry. Where is Hanoi Johnnie Boy?
You're so right. I gagged when I saw Gore Vidal. I know he wrote a book, but who read it...lol? Gore ruined the entire documentary. Remember he said something snarky about President Bush?
That turns out not to be the case. One or more pellets migrated into a blood vessel and then quickly into the heart. This caused a very minor heart attack. But if you're 78, no heart attack is truly minor.
Rush Limbaugh's show.
Gore Vidal said: "A War on Terror? That's like a war on dandruff. Its not as serious as something like the Civil War."
Not really, depending on the meaning of "peppered" The shot did penetrate the skin, just didn't hit anything important, at least not right away. The guy is 78 years old after all.
YES, that was one of his snarky comments. Wasn;t there another in which he named PresidentBush?
The fat, obnoxious queer ruined the documentary for me.
Might be better if it where. Not much to hurt in there. If it's stuck in a vessel supplying the heart muscle itself, that would not be so good, and it would cause a classic "heart attack", although in the classic case it's a blood clot or piece of arterial plaque that blocks the vessel, not a #8 lead shot.
What is the literal size of the pellet?
Like a beebee or smaller?
David Gregory is now the top Democrat in the media. lol
Hey, I got the phone number wrong in my anger, on this very thread. :-)
LOL --- I reposted the incorrect number in huge bold, so anger got both of us...lol.
Dana Millbank is going to be sooo disappointed!
Thanks for the info. FOX is starting to stoop down to the level of the other channels.
Much smaller. About the size of a small bead from a piece of your wife's jewelry. Someone will post the diameter, I'm sure.
Was Whittington drunk and staggered into line of fire?
Dare I say it, but if Cheney does resign, that would mean another Senate confirmation hearing. Can you imagine that circus?
What committee hears it? It wouldn't be Judiciary since it's not about a judge. What happened when Agnew resigned and when Rockefeller died?
And what would be the chances of the Democrats stonewalling and playing hardball about "mainstream" because they're afraid of Bush's VP nomination's chances in 2008? Would they game the system and deny Bush his VP choice because they're afraid of its impact on 2008?

Maybe it's a bit premature to speculate... I'm sure Mrs. Whittington would appreciate our prayers for her husband's recovery.
