Let the record show that it took the MSM less than a day to float the possibility that Dick Cheney intentionally shot Harry Whittington.
And who better to surmise that the Vice-President might have been trying to bump off his buddy than Ron Reagan, that primetime speaker at the Kerry convention who moonlights as an MSNBC "political analyst"?
Reagan appeared on tonight's Hardball with Chris Matthews, and in decrying the fact that the Secret Service apparently denied local law enforcement immediate access to Cheney, said the following:
"Law enforcement is entitled to investigate this case, to find out what happened, to find out if he had anything against Mr. Whittington, and to find out - again I don't mean to suggest anything - to find out if anyone had been drinking . . ."
Matthews, seemingly shocked but unable to contain a wide smile, broke in:
"You just did [suggest something]. Are you crazy? You just threw that out there. There's no reason to believe this is anything but an accident and you know it."
After suggesting it might have been anything but an accident, Reagan contradicted himself while trying to change the subject:
"I'm not suggesting it wasn't an accident but I'm saying one of the first questions the police would ask anybody is if there had been any drinking going on."
Matthews' other guest, notorious Bush antagonist Patrick Buchanan, was only too happy to pour inflammable liquid on the fire:
"Why didn't Cheney invite the sheriff in so the sheriff could find out what happened?"
So there it is. Approximately 13 hours after the story broke on national news, a paid MSM analyst has suggested that the Vice-President of the United States might have intentionally shot an innocent man.
While watching the press conference with Scott McClellan, it reminded me of the world-wide mooslim fanatic over-reaction to the dopey cartoons. Same exact reaction.
Since he is not his father's son, he should be called merely Ronnie Prescott. He does not deserve to use his father's surname.
Yikes! He does not resemble either his mother or father. He looks more like Richard Simmons or Teresa Heinz Kerry than he does his parents.
Take a good look at him - he has much of Nancy in his face.
Still shilling off his dad's death.
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
No way! He looks a LOT like Nancy.
That's nothing! I have a secret document from the Minnesota Attorney General's Office indicating that Paul Wellstone charged the cockpit in a drunken stpor and purposely killed everyone on board! And I can prove it!
mathews, ron-ron, and paddy. Talk about 3 stooges. Did pat poke their eyes and slap them around?
Great timeline!
The press must have been hungover from Saturday night since they didn't respond for HOURS.
BTW, did you see Dana Milbank on CNN tonight? He showed up in a hunter's cap and vest and said it was because they were reporting from nearby the VP's residence and "well, you can never be too careful". As though the VP is a murderous thug on the loose.
They make me sick.
BTW, Matthews is on Scarborough saying that Cheney never called Bush and didn't speak to him until today.
How does he know that?
Let'em keep talking .. they are making fools of themselves
Ron is a deformed version of his father.
Did Cheny intentionally shot his pal?
And why didn't he inform the authorithies earlier?
This thing smells like a rotten fish.
A chip off the old block.
Like father, like son.
Great guy.
LOL! Yes, and obviously there were mental defects as a result, poor thing. We must feed it and try to make it comfortable. And ignore it when it tries to talk.
Isn't odd that Michael Reagan, the adopted son, looks and sounds more like his father than Ronnette? He's 99% Nancy.
