Francis said: "If the government had been more willing to recognise gays...a lot of people like my brother would not have succumbed to HIV and lost their lives." So AIDS is caused by reluctant government recognition. Who knew?

If more of these so-called "gays" would recognize that sodomy spreads fatal diseases....And, 42 isn't all that young for a queer to die according to what I've read.

WHAT has any government got to do with the behavior of homosexuals?? Legal does not make it safe!
Honestly, these people have absolutely no clue! Laws do not cause AIDS!!! Nor does society's view of behavior cause AIDS, the BEHAVIOR does!

Maybe if his brother's lover hadn't hounded him into unprotected sex. Or maybe his brother was just plain irresponsible. Or maybe if he just kept his mouth shut (literally).
I'm surprised this guy is a Tory--they don't usually blame the other guy for all their problems.

You can't control what others think of your behavior. At least that used to be the case. But the freedom to have moral values, to speak about them, and to teach them to future generations is dying out. Governments now forbid it.

I fail to see how the government's recognition of gays helped keep the brother alive. In fact, if abnormal behavior is socially accepted, it seems likely that the brother would have been inclined to engage in it more often and would have died even quicker.

I well remember that the homosexual activists and leftists in America blamed Ronald Reagan for the AIDS crisis. It was all his fault. Why, was not entirely clear. But they were absolutely certain that it was his fault.
It sounds to me as if the Tories have picked yet another loser as their chairman. The man is a divisive idiot to make a statement like this.

The logic of this is really hard to follow.
Did Margaret Thatcher force him at gunpoint to engage in promiscuous homosexual behavior?
To: presidio9
What a relief! I thought AIDS in Britain was George Bush's fault. Turns out that Margaret Thatcher is to blame.
