TORY chairman Francis Maude yesterday accused Margaret Thatcher's governments of hounding his gay brother into his grave.
He blamed homophobic Tory policies for driving gay men into ghettos.
Charles Maude died, aged 42, from an Aids-related illness in 1993.
Francis said: "If the government had been more willing to recognise gays...a lot of people like my brother would not have succumbed to HIV and lost their lives."
You know, for a bunch of people who can't reproduce, there sure are getting to be a lot of them.
And they're all damn unhappy too. That is NO coincidence.
Also, any such figure is artificially low, because kids die, and very few people are identified as "gay" before reaching puberty.
Her and Ronnie made a great team.
I've been to the gay ghettos. It's heartbreaking seeing people living in 2,000-square-foot apartments or $300,000 homes in the suburbs. No one, no matter their sexual orientation, deserves to drive a Toyota Land Cruiser with more than 50,000 miles. And do you realize that many health clubs with gay clients only have one Olympic-sized swimming pool? Let's not mention the fact that Land's End or LL Bean has a limited supply of outerwear. Being at a concert with 40,000 other gay couples is just like being closeted and segregated. My God, the suffering of these people.
And what inspired this outburst? Has this fella recently acquired AIDS?
Seems to me the Thatcher and the tories didn't force him to be poking around where he shouldn't. There are consequences for stupid behavior.
Britain could use another leader like Lady Thatcher.
So if the governemt cared, he would have not had a penis in his butt?
The above link is from a recent column by Cal Thomas.
The conlcusion of the column "A brief letter to the editor of The Daily Telegraph from an E.D. Weaving of Carshalton, Surrey had it right: "Having read about Mr. Cameron's proposals for Conservative policies, I think we might as well vote New Labour."
It's childish beyond belief, but the need to NOT accept responsibility trumps all.
I have a big soft spot in my heart for Margaret Thatcher, one of my heroes. She has taken extraordinary guff from the left over the years.
As a person whose brother died of AIDS, let me say this: yeah, right, sure.
Yabut,George Bush is to blame for HER, not to mention the death of Franny's buggering brother.
Two male youths were lying under a blanket on a busy pavement (sidewalk). One could see their heads. They were groping each other. I could not believe my eyes. When I came out of the Registry, they were still there. In broad daylight.
Another time I visited Weymouth, a sea side resort. A street musician with one small round of flute music, had his case open for donations. I had lost my wife and daughter, so had to wait. Two homosexual youths were dancing together. At the end of the piece of music, they clapped and applauded each other. I must have heard "Born Free" seven times.
I saw a sort of high police official jogging forward. Oh thought I, here he comes to tell 'em to move on. He ran on, head high, for his car- bye bye.
What more do these silly beggers want? (Do not answer). LOL
Gays should sit down and keep their mouths shut. Then there would be NO aids!

The idea of blaming her for someone's obvious irresponsible behavior is laughable.
Well that depends on what they sit down on, doesn't it?
:-)

Yeah, Thatcher made this commie's brother get AIDS. She sodomized him while he was sleeping...yeah that's the ticket. What this guy forgot to say is "It's Bush's fault!"
