Her chances of gold just went up. Kwan is hinting she'll pull out (groin injury).

And what was with the music of the eighties during the march? I laughed so hard when Norway marched in to "YMCA".

USA now 2nd in the Luge with the final runs still going on.

I think the first two luge runs are today with the final two runs tomorrow in the men's singles.

But they played "Freedom" when the American team walked in. I liked that.

I kept trying to explain to my children that the Italians are extremely cultured, sophisticated, elegant people with an artistic tradition going back more than two millenia. And the kids were rolling on the floor at the evidence before them. This was horrendous.

I was afraid that Hedrick might haven been the hyped U.S. athlete that turned out to be a bust, and I'm glad that that premonition was wrong. I can't wait to watch the race tonight!!!

Thanks for the ping!

High Five to the Women's Hockey team!

CBC showed the Women's Moguls live. The American took 15th but a Canadian took the Gold.

I am pulling for these countries....

USA!!
Denmark
Australia (sister lives there)
Great Britain
Poland (we're Polish)
Slovakia (belong to a Slovakian Church)

So if the USA has no one in, we have someone to cheer for. Does anyone else do this?

Right now we have two tvs running. CBC is showing the Women's Hockey that CNBC is showing and the French language station is showing Pairs Figure skating.

They looked great! The game was not as close as the score indicates--they could have gone into double digits!

Next up--Germany!!
