This is a lie. There are no groups that promote abstinence only sex education in NY. What there are are groups that propose including teaching about abstinence in the curriculum, and NARL opposes this. NARL is quite open about their mission to increase the frequency of abortion.
If he has his way, gays will have the right to marry too.
He is an evil man. A few years ago, he led a campaign against crisis pregnancy centers in the state. He disgusts me.
In fairness, if Roe V Wade is going to be overturned (and I suspect it will), this becomes an important issue for governors as abortion will properly return to a state's right.
Science moves forward and disproves the assertions of the anti life crowd. And yet as science shows that there's more life and more emotional and biological interdependence, the anti life crowd sits in 1973 stock still.
Spitzer is stuck in '73
What a shame that Spitzer isn't as concerned about the rights of the unborn child not to be torn to shreds inside the womb of the mother. Oh wait, it isn't a child, it is a "fetus", so say the caring compassionate babykillers of NARAL.
And to NARAL, Spitzer certainly fits the definition of "a useful idiot".
As Ronald Reagan used to say, "It's interesting that all of these people in favor of abortion, are already born." (paraphrased)
Sorry.
Examples include - what the "fetus" feels (silent scream was banned by abortocrats); that women who go through abortions have the same sense of loss and depression as those who miscarry, but they don't have support groups to talk about how hurtful the abortion was. And lastly, that the number of deaths of women and teenage girls who have abortions is higher than prior to Roe v. Wade.
That is where it belonged all along.
N.Y. will then allow abortion on demand even if the baby is due tomorrow.
Thankfully many other states will disallow them.
Don't forget the fact legalized abortions don't really save a lot of mothers lives like they are supposed to. The "back alley" abortionist myth is their strongest argument, and it is another lie.
"There are people of good will with deep moral and religious beliefs who oppose abortion," Spitzer said in a speech at New York Law School. "They are honorable and thoughtful, and their position in the national debate should be respected."
Patronizing _________. (insert the expletive of your choice).
Hey, I agree with you, but the man is a politician. If he is doing his job correctly, he is talking about keeping aboriton legal in NY, because, sadly, that is important to NY voters. On of the things that the baby killers never talk about is the fact that they will always be free to kill as many babies as they like in places like NY, California and Massachussettes.
Please FReepmail me if you would like to be added to, or removed from, the Pro-Life/Pro-Baby ping list...

Hey Spit-boy, drop dead.
Oh of course not. It eliminates any support from the father of the baby and from other family members.
It's also a means of keeping a woman or teenage girl in an abusive situation.
Additionally, you never hear these groups talk about the proposed "paternal abortion" whereby a father could legally sever all ties with a mother in return for the cost of an abortion (at that point, whether she has one or not is up to her). Why do you suppose that is?
Exactly
