Lets see if you can guess who wrote the statement below:
"Land, because of its unique nature and the crucial role it plays in human settlements, cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. Social justice, urban renewal and development, the provision of decent dwellings-and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interests of society as a whole."

Man, that sounds just like something I heard Lenin say one time...
Should have been my first guess...
Sounds like it was written or said by someone who wants to control all lands.
Ping
Like the Dept of Natural Resources, Conservation Dept, USDA, Nature conservancy, Wild Turkey Federation, greenie wackos, PETA, etc.
So hard to tell the difference.

Lacey Clay? Is that you? Leave the good people of Pierce City alone.
When I read this stuff I just wonder what kind of world my children will have and how much time we spend attacking each other instead of the problems.
James McDougal and Vince Foster also agree that land ownership can cause problems.
Thanks for the ping. The UN ranks up there with Peta, Greenpeace, Al Qaeda, Nazis, etc as far as I am concerned. You'd probably hear cheering all the way in TN if it was announced tomorrow that we were getting out of that group!
Most definitely
