Putin Rejects Suspension of Aid to Hamas-Run PA 20:21 Feb 08, '06 / 10 Shevat 5766

(IsraelNN.com) In an interview with Spanish media, published today, Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated his objection to suspending aid to the Palestinian Authority, regardless of the Hamas terrorist organization's position there. Putin is beginning a two-day state visit to Spain today.

"It would be a big mistake to suspend aid to the Palestinians," the Russian leader said. "If we stop helping simple Palestinian citizens, are we going to eradicate terrorism and criminality? Of course not."

Putin added that while Hamas is "considered as terrorist by the whole European community, [it] has assumed power in legitimate fashion." Unlike the EU and the US, Russia does not classify Hamas as a terrorist group.

Putin is hard to comprehend. He calls his domestic terrorists "rats", while he continues to lend support to Hamas and Iran.

Well, if Putin is using his checkbook, I have no problem with this.

However, we should consider starting financial support to the Chechen... for humanitarian purposes, of course.

I can't see a Russian adopting muslim logic here. His head would explode!

How much aid does Russia give to the Palestinians? I'll bet not much.

Hamas is "considered as terrorist by the whole European community, [it] has assumed power in legitimate fashion."

Like Hitler and his brownshirts kickin' the sh*t out of everyone. The rest of the country was afraid to stand up. The ideas of Democracy and Liberty are not exactly a safe haven when someone is giving your a permanent smile on your throat from ear to ear. Yeah, they are legitimate alright.

Putin is playing the Palestinian card for oil politics.

Oh Putin is making perfect sense. Keep US busy fighting these killer terrorists spending our treasury and military. Also while the funding of the killers is afoot make 'oil' treaties with the world's dictators raising the price of a gallon of gas.

I liken it to playing the Reagan strategy against US.

Putin gets all hot and bothered if anyone sympathizes with Chechens, but these HAMAS fellows on the other hand, no they're "freedom fighters," after all they only kill jews not Russians.

No problem I will not ping you to these articles anymore, bad news about Pootie-Poot is tough to swallow.

With that said- I see your lies about me in the other threads, saying I support George Soros. When I ask for proof you are too cowardly and dishonest to even answer.

Let me make this quite clear- dont EVER post to me again.

Dont even mention me, do you understand comrade?

You have hit the nail on the head in my opinion. Some people would call me a handwringer around here but a good tactician thinks one step ahead of the enemy.

The mujahadeen drove the Russians broke. Unfortunately, the mujahadeen and the other Islamist nutcakes think they also brought the USSR to its end. This is where they were wrong. The USSR failed because it is a socialist state and didn't harness the energy of capitalism. It was doomed from its inception and barely held together by decades of a ruthless totalitarian rule.

The US holds a much stronger hand and we should be wary of getting our selves overcommitted when there are many other monsters in the world we will fight over the next half century.

The plates are shifting though and the next phase of the Great War of the 21st Century moves ahead. Iran has upped the ante and is challenging the West. Will the civilized world be overrun by the savages because they are to proud to see the common threat. Time will tell. Honestly, I am less and less optimistic each day.
