Three more killed in cartoon protests

KABUL (Reuters) - Afghan police fired at protesters trying to storm a U.S. military base on Wednesday, killing three and wounding 20 as anger over cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad flared anew.
The latest deaths in the town of Qalat brought the number of Afghans who have been killed in similar protests this week to 10.
The trouble comes as NATO countries are preparing to expand a peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan, and after a wave of bomb attacks on foreign and Afghan forces and civilian targets blamed on Taliban and al Qaeda militants.
Afghanistan's top religious council called for an end to the demonstrations, saying people would use the disturbances for purposes of sabotage. The Ulema Council also condemned the cartoons, as has the Afghan government.

Every time I read another one of these headlines it makes me think of the warehouse scene at the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

It's a cartoon. A cartoon. Why would someone want to be a "cartoon protester"? Why would someone want to die a "cartoon protester"?

The one bright spot is these barbarians are proving to the world that they're not ready for the 21st Century.
Think about how lame it is to be remembered as "The guy who died protesting ... a cartoon".
Think they get the 72 virgins?
It is a shame these bozos don't have anything better to do, like maybe trying to clean up the mess they have made of their country. I see piles of rubble in every islame country over there, and children playing in it. Boy children, that is, learning to be good little jihadists.
There just doesn't seem to be any work ethic in islame.
Guess they think someone else should do the work.

"No mohammed, we did that last week, I'd rather run through a tourist hotel and threaten some foreignors with death".
"You do not have enough fire in your heart for the Prophet, Abdulah; what good is it just threatening Westerners when we can burn them to death"?
"You are right mohammed, Westerners burning in a fire is good for the muslim soul. Let us go kill somebody, alla willing".
"Yes, Abdullah, let me go home and bring the family along too, the children must learn how to kill and terrorize while they are still young".
Interesting that the Afghan police protected the military base. Our guys could easily blow 'em away, and the natives took care of the problem. Way to go!
Actually, it appears most are still stuck in the 7th century.
