"Thousands Remember Coretta Scott King" ---------- I was watching Fox News and they showed Jimmy Carter speaking at Coretta Scott King's funeral, and sure enough, he started talking about illegal wire-tapping and other examples of government run amok. I am appalled that he would use this opportunity to bash the President, but not really surprised. :-(

Rabbit attacks? I don't get it-details please. Legend has it that Carter was once attacked by a rabbit when he was in his fishing boat.

A funeral is no place for Carter or anyone else to be making political speeches. Just proves to me what I've suspected for many years. Jimmy Carter doesn't know where the hell he is at. When he was president, he couldn't concentrate on two subjects in the same day. Worst President we ever had. Why the press thinks it is necessary to print anything this idiot says is beyond me. My thoughts exactly, shouldn't he be in a home, where someone can watch him & not let him escape so often?

Mark Wellstone chants, "We will win!" during a speech in which he reminisced about his childhood, and how his father would "take care" of schoolyard bullies.

My husband and I have noticed an increase in impolite and gratuitous anti-Bush statements from the Democrats we know.
Are Democrats blindly lashing out in frustration because Alito was confirmed?

"Carter is the WORST President we have ever had.....what a mean-small minded little creep."
Then you'll be THRILLED to hear Michael Medved's answer to a question I had the opportunity to ask him:
"Mr. Medved, what kind of president do you think Hillary Clinton would be?"
Medved: (paraphrasing) I think she would be a lot like Jimmy Carter, both in domestic and foreign policy.
There! NOW don't you feel better? :)

I'm ashamed he was the first president I ever voted for (in my younger uneducated days). Jimmy Carter is the world's only self-canonized saint.
I voted for him twice. That was back in the days that I took Democrats at their word that they were caring people.
Nowdays I ignore a politician's glowing self-description and look at his behavior, before deciding whether to vote for him.

I had forgotten! He is also the FATHER of the rebirth of communism in Africa. He is also responsible for African theft, murder, genocide, and famine! What a guy!!!
Thanks for reminding me.

In case any of you fine folks missed yesterday's disgraceful debacle, it makes the Wellstone memorial service/pep rally/tractor pull pale in comparison. And Carter wasn't the worst one. Some preacher I've never heard of directly insulted President Bush, pointing him out, and the crowd absolutely went wild (like at a rock concert).
The political animal in me can only smile at the self destruction of the liberals, but the "regular Joe" in me cringes. Coretta Scott King deserved better.

Go to www.africancrisis.org and find out more of what is going on in that part of the world, especially in South Africa. This website is run by Jan Lamprecht, a Rhodesian ex-patriate now living in Johannesburg. He updates this site daily and is reporting the real truth on what is going on as far as rapes, farm murders, and the rampant crime that has gone on after apartheid.

The "Civil Rights Movement" was a left-wing movement and that left-wing spirit came out at the "George W. Bush Roast-Coretta Scott King Funeral" yesterday. If it were a cookout they'd have put him on an open fire and really cooked him. The left-wingers are full of hate. Bill and Hillary were there to show themselves off, too.

I've decided that since Carter felt free to Bush-bash at Mrs. King's funeral, I will use the President's words against him:
Bush: "Coretta had every right to count the cost, and step back from the struggle. But she decided that her children needed more than a safe home." -- Bush was obviously bashing both Carter and Clinton for their lack of courage against terrorism.

Carter started his ex-presidency at a low point and managed to achieve what many of us at the time would have thought impossible: he has sunk lower year after year.
