Judge Sends Cop Killer To Death Row

SAN DIEGO - A judge in North County gives the maximum sentence to a man who killed an Oceanside police officer in 2003.

It has been two months since a jury found Adrian Camacho guilty of killing Officer Tony Zeppetella during a traffic stop. That jury later recommended that Camacho receive the death penalty, and on Tuesday, Superior Court Judge Joan Weber endorsed that recommendation in a Vista courthouse.

From the article: Camacho has been imprisoned four times for weapons possession, drug possession, possession of stolen property and felony evading, according to court records. He has been deported twice for being in the United States illegally.

And now we get to house and feed him for 25 years while they repeal the death sentance, and he'll end up living his life out in San Quentin instead of a sqaulorish Mexican Prison. YOUR Tax Dollars at Work.

BTW - Bush's new budget actually cuts the federal dollars spent on housing illegals in California Prisons by 20%. If it passes the Congress, that is.

The next time you are talking with a politician, ask if the name Adrian Camacho rings a bell. When he says no, that's when you chime in with 'illegal alien' and 'the cop killer who was deported four times, tried and executed'.

Why does this not surprise me? This crime was an outrage to all of San Diego County, and now this? This isn't going to go over well with Camacho, Peterson and Westerfield all sitting on Death Row. *grrrrrrr*

In fact, I have already done this.... I spoke with our local Representative a couple of weeks ago at the local Gun Show. He was very sweet. But in general, even though I'm not in his district... I write to Duncan Hunter. I wish I could live in his district, but it's just *tooo* durn hot out there in EastCo. :D

Doesn't it just? The whole county was in an uproar when this happened. *sigh*

Looks like the President authorized $30mil for the fence here in SD County though. Not that it's going to help much... it's a drop in the bucket. I swear, I wish I had a pick axe... I'd go down there and start myself. (right)

It is one of the items the assembly and senate pushed through in January. They are back to working on SB-160 Dl for illegal aliens, and discounted college tuition for illegal aliens.

I cannot remember where I read it, I will look. But that is what was said in this article I read. The death penalty has been temporarilly halted.
