"The House Permanant Select Committee on Intelligence is studying hours of audio recordings between Saddam Hussein and his top advisors that may provide clues to the whereabouts of Iraq's WEAPONS of MASS DESTRUCTION. The committee has already confirmed through the intelligence community that the recordings of saddam's voice are AUTHENTIC, according to it's chairman, REP. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, who would not go into detail about the nature of the conversations or their context." " The audio recordings are part of new evidence the House Intelligence Committee is piecing together that has spurred Mr Koekstra to reopen the question of whether Iraq had the BIOLOGICAL, CHEMICAL and NUCLEAR weapons American weapons inspectors could not turn up." They were provided to his committee by a former Federal prosecutor, John Loftus, who says he received them from a former American military intelligence analyst.

Hmmmm.....
Perhaps there is a patriotic whistleblower in the intelligence community who knew this was being covered up, so he/she made the recording and got it to someone who could make it known....
Just speculating, of course!
those are HUGH!!
Whatever is found on the tapes that substantiates the existence of Saddam's WMD should be used in '06 campaign material - we all know there is a RAT segment of our population that will never believe a word that comes out of the Bushies mouth, no matter how hard the evidence is. Remember the often repeated claim right after no WMD could be found, the LLL were claiming the Bushies would actually plant WMD in Iraq?
NY Times Headline.
"Saddams WMD found in Syria. Democrats call for investigation about Bush lying that there were WMD in Iraq. "
Kerry: "I never said there weren't any WMD's. I said there weren't any WMD's in Iraq."
Pelosi: "Bush should be impeached for attacking the wrong country."
Rockefeller: "We on the Senate Intelligence Committee told Bush the WMD weren't in Iraq, but he didn't listen to us. I even told Assad that Bush was going to attack Iraq and he could take his time ferreting the WMD out to the Bekaa Valley"
Democrat Underground posts: "Bush is a Nazi for attacking Iraq and killing thousands of people when we all knew that there wasn't any WMD in Iraq."
Hillary Clinton: "This just proves that our intelligence community under the current administration is not doing its job. My husband along with the entire world knew Iraq had WMD and moved them to Syria three weeks before the war."
President Bush Press Conference after all the Democrat responses:
GWB: Today I would like to announce that we have found 25 tons of Chemical Weapons outside of karbala. These chemicals, classified as WMD by the UN were uncovered from documents found during the first days of the war in Iraq. We have also uncovered a major biological weapons cache in North Western Iraq. As was stated for the MAIN reason we went to war was to find Saddams WMD Caches.
NY Times Headline the next day:
"President Bush lied to nation about Major reason to find WMD's in Iraq"
Senator Kerry: "George Bush lied to the nation. He said that the main reason we went into Iraq was to find the WMD's. We all know that it was to remove Saddam from power and liberate 25 million oppressed Iraqis from Tyranny."
And once again the goal posts are moved.
I think you are right. Liberalism is at best the worst take on wishful thinking. Who but children could believe that the answers to our problems lay in the build up of greater bureacracy and to use the silly rhetoric of the left to take money from the many to place in the hands of a few bureaucrats?
Check out the MP3 books at Worldtainment corporation. You can get a long novel on one ordinary CD.

Could be, but I'm not going to pretend it is just about maintaining secrets. President Bush and his strategists are masters in some ways though they still suffer from the same plague of most who work in DC in that they sometimes forget that Washington is not a bubble. The mess with the hurricanes and giving too much ground in the debate on Iraq are good examples of slip ups but generally the White house has a big picture view of what is going on and instead of responding like reactionaries they tend to give ground only after it is well laid with political landmines and the Democrats behaving in the same way they approach policy march right in shooting their emotional and political guns in the air while appearing more like some foreign army rather than those who wish to be elected to represent US interests.
Considering that one of Saddam's retired generals has written a book that states that Saddam flew the WMDs out of the country to Syria aboard passenger jets, I doubt that the media will give any news about the WMDs anymore notice.
Check!
Loose lips...
"President Bush called off the hunt for those weapons last year and has conceded that {"America"} has yet to find evidence of the stockpiles.
WHODATHUNK!
CHECK MATE !!!
Not the same tapes. The tapes Powell used were (hostile) intercepts of Iraqi army communications. These new tapes are office recordings made BY the Iraqis of their own meetings.
Because the private contractor that found them in Iraq went to him, for whatever reason.
But Sada's information is second hand. He's reporting what he was allegedly told by the pilots. These tapes -- IF as purported -- are a whole 'nother thing. These are recordings OF Saddam, discussing WMD and their disposal, recorded by the Iraqis themselves.
"In the hearing yesterday, after Gonzales mentioned that the head of the CIA had testified that the NSA leak had caused serious damage, Biden said (paraphrasing) "the head of the CIA also told us there were WMD, so I can't just take his word for it".
Either Biden is stupid, or he thinks those listening are. The head of the CIA who said there were WMD was not the same person as the head of the CIA who said the NSA leak had caused serious damage. One was named Tenet, the other is named Goss.
"The NSA program was in full bloom and fruitful that early!"
What does the NSA program have to do with this? If we were in contact with the command structure, we probably got their cellphone numbers because the gave them to us.
I see no need to have had NSA working to intercept phone calls that were made between other US officials and Iraqi command structure before the war. I also do not see this as Powell somehow distancing himself from the President.
On a diferent point. The NY Sun is a quality newspaper. Most times I hear the name John Loftus and I look for something in Fate Magazine. But to see his story picked up by the Sun is most impressive.
The Internet is always watching.
I'm in DC now, see you soon.
Stay tuned for Kennedy, Kerry, Leahy and the rest of the Terrorist Defense Tag-Team to scream that Saddam's rights have been violated.
In that case, maybe the media will pay some attention, but I'm not holding my breath.
"Considering that one of Saddam's retired generals has written a book that states that Saddam flew the WMDs out of the country to Syria aboard passenger jets, I doubt that the media will give any news about the WMDs anymore notice."
despite the media's best efforts to gloss over rathergate, mr rather is now doing his schtick at nursing homes. that the wmd went to syria is about two years old, Sada offers little more than his word in terms of new evidence. actual words from saddam's mouth is new and may very well help the cause, if his voice is verifiable.
But...I thought "Bush lied" ?!?
If the truth DOES come out showing that WMD's did exist in Iraq shortly before the war perhaps a FEW of those who have devoted much of their existence to the fervent "Bush lied!" Cult will come to their senses.
Then again, probably not.
Liberals have their own reality. That and being fueled by hate are two ways they're very much like Muslims.
