"The House Permanant Select Committee on Intelligence is studying hours of audio recordings between Saddam Hussein and his top advisors that may provide clues to the whereabouts of Iraq's WEAPONS of MASS DESTRUCTION. The committee has already confirmed through the intelligence community that the recordings of saddam's voice are AUTHENTIC, according to it's chairman, REP. Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, who would not go into detail about the nature of the conversations or their context." " The audio recordings are part of new evidence the House Intelligence Committee is piecing together that has spurred Mr Koekstra to reopen the question of whether Iraq had the BIOLOGICAL, CHEMICAL and NUCLEAR weapons American weapons inspectors could not turn up." They were provided to his committee by a former Federal prosecutor, John Loftus, who says he received them from a former American military intelligence analyst.

That doesn't mean it would be revealed though.
You can fabricate speech patterns?
Where is he living now, and who is he talking to?
"Love to see a little egg on some anti-war faces."
No kidding. I keep thinking all these fools who keep saying Bush lied, falty intelligence blah blah blah, would see the signs at what is coming and shut up, but they never do. They just cannot reign in their hatred. They've lost all control.
One of these days...one of these days....
me too - I'd like to think we followed the convoy of trucks until they came to a stop at their final destination...and that we've been monitoring their location ever since... and that we'll use it over the heads of China, France, Russia and Germany at the UN Sec Council.
I believe so. If a speech pattern can be analysed and identified, then I believe it can be copied and manipulated. Probably even digitally created, to match something with known parameters.
He is living in Paris France and he is talking to many reporters. He also talked to the UN commission that is investigating the assassination of ex Lebanese prime minister Hariri back in February 2005. He told the UN commission that Syria is the one who planned and ordered the assassination and he is absolutely sure that this could not have been done without the approval of Syrian President Bachar Assad. He is really going very hard against the terrorist regime in Damascus and he thinks that this regime will fall this year. I hope that our CIA or State department is talking to him regarding the Iraqi WMD because if the Syrians have them this man absolutely know about it.
So who "leaked" this information?
The libs would have it examined and you can bet they would release the info.
Of course, no one would be able to prove that either.
Gotta say that I'd join them on this one -- why would a "former" intelligence analyst be tossing them around in the first place? Something else is afoot here.
Lets see, I can't imagine why it would take a "former" intelligence analyst to get this type of info out, its not like the CIA has been used politically against this president in a time of war to try and bring him down. I mean come on there is nothing political about the CIA its all about intelligence. (sarc)
Having said that this stuff will have to be great hard evidence to convince people, and the "former" intelligence analyst past will be raked over with a fine tooth comb.
John Loftus. American patriot.
True since they refuse to acknowledge the small amounts that have been found there, why would large quantities found make any difference.
It'd be wonderful if this stuff was legit, but I'm not putting any money on it at this point.
Unless the US talk to him and promise to help him in removing the terrorist dictatorship in Damascus.
I believe that if something can be fabricated, then so can the test results. I'm not saying they are or aren't. I'm just pointing out the fact that the technology is available, to prove just about anything anyone wants to prove.
Powell was always the consummate politician--as somebody who navigated his way through the Pentagon's Byzantine corridors all the way to JCF Chairman would need to be. Consequently there's a lot of history about him not known except to those who follow the news closely. In the first Bush administration Powell repeatedly positioned himself to appear publicly as a moderating but loyal voice in the White House. In that role, the famous UN presentation was a task he couldn't decline. But the truth was he often used his network to leak damaging information and manipulate foreign policy in ways not very satisfactory to the President nor to Rummy and Rice.
Anybody who doubts this should read this (accurate, but not verbatim) exchange between the lines: "Mr. President, I know with all the changes in the second administration things will be hectic, and I'd be willing to stay on as Secretary during the transition." Bush: "Mr. Powell, you've been a fine public servant, but that won't be necessary."
