There is no way to do "what if". No telling who would have won if the refs hadn't messed it up. Nobody can say Seattle should have won, or that Pittsburgh didn't really win. We just will never know.
I can't decide which was worse.
The Referee's stealing the game for the steelers,

To me I think Seattle won that game. give Seattle the 14 points they should have had and they won 24-21

Shoulda gone with my very first instinct. I was thinking 1984 at first, so that was closer. But this one was the Buster Rhymes game I could see in my mind's eye. That was pre-Aikman and pre-Holieway. Danny Bradley was QB and Spencer Tillman was "just" a freshman.
We lost 28-21. I do remember that. It was a home game, Sat of Thanksgiving weekend. I lived in OKC then, but was in Houston for Turkey Day. I almost never got Neb tickets and I never went to Lincoln, but did go to many away games. In fact, come to think of it, '83 was when we played UofHawaii and I did go to Honolulu for that one a week after the Neb game, right before "Mele Kalikimaka."
No bowling for us that year, I guess. Our trip to the Rainbow was better (well, "almost as good," anyway).
We did win the National Championship 2 seasons later and beat Penn State in the Orange Bowl then. Glad you remembered the bad refs!

Yeah, but you never know how Pittsburgh would have reacted at that point at 24-21. The bad calls affected both team's strategy and thinking. We will flat out never know who should have won that game.

Game ball was presented to the refs after the game. This is on par with the 1919 Black Sox scandal.
I personally know where they hide the slush fund to pay off the refs. I'm donning my tinfoil hat now and going to talk to myself how Gore got robbed!!

Would the Steelers have won that game if not for the refs help? Thats what I thought.

Supposedly at one point a ref was gonna throw a flag against the Hawks, pulls something out of his pocket but it's a terrible towel so he stuffs it back in and then throws the correct flag.
I wonder what we should think about that?

I found out that three SB MVP's were not in attendance for the game yesterday (Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw and Jake Scott). Here's the story and the reasons they gave for not wanting to be in attendance. Joe Montana has turned into an ego-maniac.
