John Zimmerman is right. The Muslim countries have chosen to pressure liberal little Denmark in order to teach the media and governments, which stand by them, a lesson which does not bode well for free speech or satire. Kuwait has joined the Saudi boycott (the Saudi market alone is worth 1.2 billion) and I suspect the rest will follow. So, here is a plea from my Danish friends:
"If you Americans look with this great sympathy on our case, couldn't you then raise a consumer support of DK in the US? The opposite of a boycott. A movement of: "Buy Danish!" Please?

Great links! I've been sitting here remembering when French products were boycotted. Let's do a reverse impact for our friends in Denmark : )
I bought a box of ribs that were on sale last year and we cooked them for the Fourth of July. The ribs were very tasty. Safeway usually has a good supply of them.
Yes; in fact, I plan to buy some Danish goods today, and I would encourage everybody buying food for the football game today to devote some cash to this effort.
Not only should we buy Danish, we should fly the Danish flag.
There was a post here earlier today, which had a copy/image of the Danish flag. Sorry, I do not know how to copy/insert it into this thread, here, or I would.
Anyone have a link to the original Danish Cartoons?
I've been out of town, and can't seem to find an easy link.
Thanks.
'....How do you say "We're all Danish" in danish ?...'
It's been a long time, but I think "Vig er alle Dansker" should be close enough.
Yesterday I bought a tin of butter cookies at Walmart.
When I got home and on Free Republic I realized the cookies were Danish.
The easy way to buy Danish for all of you who don't hate Walmart and know it's ok to buy imported products, is to go to Walmart and buy a tin of Danish Butter cookies.
For the record, there are no Chineese Butter cookies even though some swear everything at Walmart comes from prison labor chicom sweat shops.
Very thorough. Thanks for the input. Pray for the conversion of the chicoms.
Pray also for the Chicaps :)
Heineken is Dutch, and Amstel is Belgian.
Get on board Bump
if you buy a great dane "dog? buy a big poop scoop
When you visit KMart, Costco, WalMart, Sam's Club, Target, Kohl;s, etc., remember to look at the label. Many cheap clothes in the U.S. come from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Dates and hearts of palm also mainly come from Syria and Jordan. Let these Muslims bullies pick on someone larger than Denmark. BOYCOTT their products and send a message that their tyranny will not be tolerated.
Amstel is the name of the river that flows right through the heart of Amsterdam.
