D.C. Anti-Bush Rally Features 'Beheaded Bush' Poster (Graphics)

About 1,000 people gathered in rain-swept Washington, D.C. today at an anti-Bush rally organized by the World Can't Wait, a front group for the Revolutionary Communist Party.

Held on the grounds of the Washington Monument, the rally capped a week of activities by the group demanding President Bush leave office immediately because of their opposition to the Iraq war and other Bush policies.

The organizers planned for a crowd in the tens of thousands, but as the photos below show, they spent a whole lot of money planning for people who never showed.

One woman who did attend the rally made it all worthwhile them, though. She carried a poster that featured a blood-dripping beheaded President Bush.

That "beheading" pic will probably be a real hit with their allies, like Al-Qaeda, Hamas, etc.

...A.N.S.W.E.R., Ed Asner & his ilk, several members of US Congress, North Korea, President of Iran, Hollywood Leftists, etc.

Sickening, isn't it....at least they had a poor showing; Secret Service won't have so many to interview.

They can start right off with Miss Poster Girl.

Would that be Mrs. Zarqawi or Mrs. Bin Laden, or is she too pretty to be either?

It's pretty bad when the porta-potties outnumber the attendees.

Isn't that standard prison soap? I here it often winds up on the floor, because who would dare pick it up?

Does'nt that poster appear to be an actual threat to the Prez? Looks like one to me and very Muslim at that. This female idiot should be arrested and jailed for threatening Bush. Wake up, Secet Service!

And they do fall under the aegis of the same Bill of Rights that
all Americans do.

Absolutely. These protestors are a prime example of the beautiful
"spot the loony" (or loonies, in this case) function of our
beloved First Amendment.
(also described as a figurative "give 'em enough rope and let 'em
hang themselves")

Also, it's my opinion that these folks, via their protestations,
actually help our side more than positively promote their own
agenda. Most people have a negative of opinion of these characters.

And the more publicity these folks get...the better.
When the MSM (often intentionally) drops the ball in covering lefty nuts...
then talk radio picks it back up thanks to a thread like this or on a blog.

BTW, I bet we saw the schoolbus photos on FR days before they were displayed on Old Media outlets.

Sounds about right. IRC a picture of school buses in a flooded yard first appeared. Then netters started pouring over satellite photos and found a photo of school buses in a dry yard a couple of miles away from the Super Dome. Next somebody found about a dozen buses parked at a dry lot within blocks of the Super Dome. Somewhere along the line a netter posted NO disaster guidelines that directed using school buses for evacuation. Afterward Old Media begrudgingly ran with a story at odds with their preferred story that Bush doesn't care about black people. Then a worried Nagin started spinning issuing talking points about the unsuitability of using school buses.

Nice choices, ladies....that minimalist vibe (although I'd probably pair Vera with cashmere rather than mink); and a little funky artiste (without being too crunchy granola). And me with "lets-clear-some-brush" metro cowgirl.

Remember, it's not what we do that's important, it's how good we look doing it that really counts ;-)

We will NEVER AGAIN allow the media to form public opinion. This time we will speak up!

Amen! Allow me to post a couple of observations from my home page.

In 1972 Nixon was re-elected in one of the most massive landslide elections in U.S. political history, defeating George McGovern and garnering over 60% of the popular vote. He carried 49 of the 50 states, trailing only in Massachusetts.
Richard Nixon

The coup that overthrew President Nixon was largely orchestrated by Senator Edward Kennedy to reverse the left-repudiating 1972 election and serve Kennedy's presidential ambitions. This coup led to Communist victory in Vietnam, toppling dominoes in Southeast Asia, and encouragement to left revolutionary movements worldwide. It also allowed Kennedy and his liberal media allies to identify the tragic Vietnam War not with President John F. Kennedy, who committed the first 17,000 armed troops there, but with Republican President Nixon.

Its just a cartoon, y'all understand. Nothing to see here and besides, its time to move on. I can imagine how different the liberal reaction would be if someone depicted a death threat against a lefty icon. These people live in a parallel universe.

Thanks for the link to that very interesting article. Old media are shrinking in size and influence, as can be seen with every quarter's stock reports.
