Since I first mentioned Judith Apter Klinghoffer and Little Green Football's idea to "Buy Danish" to support Denmark in the cartoon wars, a bunch of new websites and campaigns have been launched. I've compiled a few resources below. A special request for those of you getting ready to stock up for Super Bowl Sunday: Skip the nachos and Velveeta cheese. Go Danish!

The Buy Danish blog provides this helpful list of Danish products:

Food:
Arla milk, cheese etc.
Knorr seasonings
Danish crown (meat)
Lurmaerket Butter

Danish Bacon
Thor Fish
Danisco Food

Candy:
Toms (chocolate)
HAribo
LAgermann
Galle & Jessen

Beverages:
Tuborg Beer
Carlsberg Beer
Aalborg Aquavit (snaps)

Medicine:
Novo

Cigarettes:

Prince (Dont start smoking because of this fire!)

Clothings:
H2O
Hummel
Per Reumert

Shoes:
Ecco
Jaco

Danish Design:
Royal Copenhagen
Georg Jensen
Stelton
PH-lamps
Lego (toys)
Brio (toys)
Raadvad (knives etc.)

Trip Trap
HTH- kitchen
Morsoe (Fireplaces)
Royal Danish Porcelain
B & G Porcelain
Vesta (Windmills)
B & O radioes/televisions etc.

Other:
Watco Danish Furniture Oil

Buy Danish yarn.

Denmark's exporter directory.

The Danish Food shop
Danish Deli Food
LEGO

More stuff made in Denmark.

Davids Medienkritik has an excellent Buy Danish post.

Check out the Support Denmark page (hat tip: Paul Belien of the indispensable Brussels Journal).

Sign a petition in support of the staff of the Jyllands-Posten newspaper.

Write the Danish embassy:

I saw them too - in the "Hispanic food section." The ones I bought were in the pasta section, and the soup mix section. That was one of my husband's complaints when we went to buy our 3 year old a toy kitchen. All of them had Spanish all over the box - except Barbie!

I think it's Swiss, but if the cheese is Danish, yum!

I think Havarti is the most popular Danish item here! Everyone has bought some, or is going to! :)

BTW - Did you catch what the Queen of Denmark said? She is just AWESOME.

Is the Pope Polish? Just a joke. I think Ikea is Swedish in origin.

I did see what the Queen said about Islam. Wow! And no weasel words either like "radical Islam"; just Islam.

Another freeper said this and I think it's true:

Islam is an army disguised as a religion.

I like Michelle Malkin, but this is stupid. I disagree with the the terrorists, but that hardly means the Danes are worth admiring. By the way, I know several Danes in this area, and even though they live here, they don't think much of U.S. Americans,

Didn't mean 'bring boycott' - even though that's what I said! ;0 . I meant BUY Danish - help them with the boycott they are experiencing.

Geez, I'm outta here, time for some danish!

I wonder if it's a bad idea to send some of those Danish cookie tins in future care packages to Iraq & Afghanistan?

Probably, right? Crud. Well I can buy them for us, anyway.

I was broker for this manufacturer in DK for about ten years selling this exact same tin with a private label for the supermarket Winn-Dixie. They are absolutely sinful delicious!!!

I love Michelle Malkin, but this is as pointless an idea as most of the "boycott" campaigns.

Personally, I'm going to boycott defeatism after I go fill my car with Danish products tonight. Hey whitey, check out cynics r us.com. Great site!!

I loved a Dane in my 17th year, and lo these many years later, I will certainly buy Havarti, cookies, and ham!

God bless Denmark!

You've never seen a "Bomber Baptist", or a "Murderous Methodist", or a "Pugilist Presbyterian" or an "Angry Amish"?

Yes, since they are part of the "Netherlands" I WON'T be buying. I haven't had time to read Michelle's article yet but I will and I love Michelle and her stand. She really gets it but she may not be as aware as we are on the Netherworld aspect after you and I have followed the endemic corruption of Aruba, a Dutch Antilles Island and part of the Netherlands. After reading the list, I can't see anything I have to give up anyway. I DID have to give up unilever products like Dove to boycott Aruba products. CO
