You are on the ball today!

I found the story at The Tuscaloosa News, but I was too lazy to copy it here.

I'd hardly say overwhelmingly white. There are plenty of predominantly black SBC Churches as well.

It's unclear if the church fires are connected.

Naa, just a coincidence.

This article doesn't say that they are Southern Baptist churches, but just "baptist." Southern Baptist is a specific denomination.

Southern Baptists are generally and overwhelmingly white churches and they are not only in the south.

Thanks. As a Catholic Yankee, I really need a scorecard.

Who would do such a thing? Is it likely the work of a demented individual? Maybe it's too early to speculate, but I just don't see the Southern Baptists with organized groups of enemies. (Other than the gang at NARAL, but arson just doesn't seem their style).

More likely, they will claim it was a member of one of the churches who did it, maybe even a disgruntled pastor (that is the ultimate liberal media dream). They don't get any propaganda value from blaming it on gays.

I'm sure that all of the federal alphabet agencies are swarming about investigating. Oh! These are white churches? Never mind.

I always thought that Southern Baptist could be black or white.

Looks like it could be domestic terrorism.

But none of them say MB and that's at least a clue.
BTW MB stands for Mostly Black

And if it does turn out to be ACT UP or some other gay outfit, the story will be instantly spiked. It never happened.

The MSM is the closest thing on earth to modern Stalinism.

"overwhelmingly white"

But I am a member of a fundamentalist Southern Baptist Church here in Orlando. I'd say about 10% of the congregation is black on any given Sunday. That's not all that different from the percentage of blacks in the public at large.

Southern Baptist is a denomination, and they happened to be white for the most part. There are other Baptist denominations that are mostly black.

--- the Southern Baptist Convention has gone through a split (with the SBC being the most conservative) and there is a lot of animosity in some parts of the country. Who knows? I suspect that it is likely to be a loony individual or small group with a grievance.

John Scott just had a report about the burnings on FoxNews.

He said officials are saying there is no evidence that the burnings are related, but one has to suspect they are.

For them, dismembering babies is much more fulfilling.

Dare I say it... if they were all black churches, I imagine we would know about it. That would be too cliche' to pass up for MSNBC.

It is curious that they are all Southern Baptist churches. No Methodists, no Church of God, no independent Baptists, no Presbyterians. We have a lot of Southern Baptist churches here, but if you pick five churches at random, they aren't likely to all be SBC.

Don't discount the possiblity that it is an insurance scam, as many of the infamous church burnings a decade ago turned out to be.
