On Jan 27, we held all four corners of the main gate at Walter Reed for the second week in a row. Per last week's thread and report, the Pinkos have been relegated to an area about a block away such that the wounded and their relatives do NOT have to pass close by them to enter or leave Walter Reed Army Medical Center. We had a great turnout of FReepers from the DC Chapter and beyond including numerous Protest Warriors and other patriots. Although the night was cool, it was still warmer than usual for a January night.
This was FReep #41 as FReepers have countered the anti-troop hate group Code Pink at their weekly obscene anti-war blood dance outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center for 10 months now. We were honored again to have been joined by the proud father and mother of a Marine, who is currently serving in Iraq. Now that the Pinkos are completely gone from the gate, we had many more than the usual number of wounded troops join us or stop by to thank us for being there.
tgslTakoma walked down to take photos of the Pinkos from across the 6 lane street, whereupon several crossed to her side and claimed to have a permit for both sides of the street there, leading to this thread which includes tgslTakoma's photos of the incident:
Code Pink Leader Has Tantrum at Walter Reed - 01/27/06
As continues to be the case, Code Pink has been stunned into virtual web silence about the vigil since mid-Nov. Unless they suddenly produce a slew of reports, Code Pink has published only one report (about Dec. 2) since their Nov. 18 report as you can see on their website: http://www.codepink4peace.org/article.php?list=type&type=81 (copy and paste the address at left into your browser to get there). This has followed a series of humiliating defeats inflicted upon them by the peaceful and lawful actions of FReepers, combined with their usual self-inflicted embarrassments. Code Pink is truly stuck in a quagmire, now a block away from the vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the gate, as FReepers severely hinder the Pinkos' cynical attempts to manipulate severely wounded soldiers and relatives in hopes of finding those who will join the anti-war movement and break faith with the troops still fighting a ruthless enemy. Code Pink seems to be phasing out most of their participation in the protest and turning it over to other groups as the number of Code Pink women has diminished considerably.
As Code Pink abandons the documenting of their psych-op against wounded war heroes, the lying, thieving, whining Weasel (see here and here for some FR reports on his actions) has picked up the writing of fictional reports about the event. Weasel's cute name for Free Republic, and especially the FReepers opposing him and the other Pinkos, is "Primate House." The name sounds like a sixth grade monkey joke. His reports are here, but take your barf bag if you must go: http/www.stealthbadger.net/log/index.php/category/good-stuffs/activism/walter-reed-vigil/ (copy and paste the address at left into your browser to get there).
We are winning our psych-op against the Pinkos and hindering their heartless psych-op against our war-wounded troops. Please join us this Friday, Feb 3, at 6:30 pm per details below. Please also bump this thread to keep it on top. Stand up against the Pinkos who've endorsed "the Iraqi resistance" (as they call our enemy, see here and here), given money to the other side in Fallujah, and called our troops "killers." Then, the Pinkos demonstrate at the hospital and pretend that they support our troops.
Lifting the spirits of our war-wounded heroes is what we aim to do. If you live in the area, please join us. If you really can't join us due to work, family, or medical reasons or you don't live in the area, you can help in other ways by contacting Coop, Landry Fan, or PleaDeal by FReepmail for ideas.
The honor roll of those in attendance (lurkers are marked with an asterisk*):
AirForceBrat23, Albion Wilde, ALlRightAllTheTime, Apple Blossom and daughter, beandog, Benjamin*, Bill* from MD, bmwcyle and daughter, Bryant*, BufordP, concretebob, Coop, Dana*, Diva* , Doll, Fraxinus, GunsAreOK, Iraqikurd, Joan* from MD, John* and his wife Mary*, Mr. Sarcastic, Mrs. Sarcastic, Justanobody, Kristinn, Landry Fan, Laura*, Lauren*, Nan*, Nina0113, Oscar*, Pasquale, PleaDeal, Ryan*, Son of TGSL, tgslTakoma, Tim* and wife and 2 children, Tom the Redhunter, trooprally [Mr. & Mrs], and BillF.
We had coffee, hot chocolate, and various snacks on site.
The event was so large that I can only present that part of the story that I saw. If you were there, please describe your own experiences at the FReep. Also, let me know if I publish your photo without your name or, worse, I mislabel you in a photo.
[I've had to move from one web host to another in the last couple weeks, requiring considerable time and hassle. Therefore, my report this week may be shorter than usual, but I'll link to various other photos and reports for those who wish more details. Also, I'm only featuring a few photos that I took in the report. More photos of others are on the links.]
[CLICK ON A PHOTO TO OPEN A LARGER VERSION IN A NEW WINDOW if it has a border around it. If a photo doesn't have a border, it is not hyperlinked to a larger version. Click on another hyperlinked photo and its larger version should open in the same window that the first enlarged photo did. Or you can simply close the window with the enlarged photo and click on another photo in the report to open a new window with an enlarged photo. Note that some of the wider photos may open in a window wider than your screen and you can use a horizontal scroll bar to see parts. Photos will be interspersed in the report.
See also reports, some with photos, of the FReep on the great blogs of our FReepers: Doll (click here), Landry Fan (click here), PleaDeal (click here), and Tom the Redhunter (click here).
Opposed to our 46 patriots, the Pinkos were unable to rally even 15 America-hating traitors and their well-meaning, but incredibly-misguided, dupes. The dupes do not realize that their Pinko organizers, who claim to support our troops, called our troops "killers", endorse "the Iraqi resistance" (those killing and wounding our troops, see here and here), and have given money to "the other side" in Fallujah.

Benjamin (Ben) (three photos up on right) gave us a gripping account of the fight in Iraq that left him wounded. He will make a full recovery in a few months. Two police officers stopped by briefly to remind us to stay out of the street. This was about 5 minutes after a car had zipped into the parking lane very close to two of the FReeper corners, putting FReepers in jeopardy. In a similar incident last week, a car made a very reckless U-turn that almost hit FReepers on two corners. On both occasions, the FReepers were up on the sidewalk, not in the street. Caution is in order. My guess is that both incidents were simply reckless (i.e., no political motive) drivers, but any more close-calls will raise a question about possible intentional use of vehicles to harass us. Now that the Pinkos have been effectively removed from their morale-sapping position to harass troops and relatives passing through the gate, we hold down the noise as there is no need to remind the Pinkos on their distant block of the shame that they should feel for their taunting of wounded troops. |
Three Pinkos surround tgslTakoma (red jacket with tripod). With a couple other Pinkos, not shown, they had left the remaining 7
to 9 Pinkos (see candles on the ground on the other side of the street) to harass tgslTakoma because she was taking their photos
from across a 6 lane road.
A second photo of the same occasion. Look at Allison Yorra's expression.

"Soros gave us a stack of $10,000 bills this thick to get us to protest." |
We shall continue FReeping the Code Pinkos every Friday night until they stop their obscene blood dance outside the hospital of our war-wounded. If you agree with me that it is outrageous for Code Pinkos to protest a war at a hospital with war-wounded troops inside, please come out and join us in a peaceful counter-protest.
One of the amputees told me months ago that he doesn't want other wounded troops coming into Walter Reed and seeing only the Code Pinkos at the gates. He explained that the FReeper presence there was extremely important to counter the Pinkos. Please join us and be a part of our peaceful counter-protest to Code Pink.
Please don't let the troops think that regular Americans are too busy with TV, ballgames, movies and other recreation to peacefully counter America-hating leftists.
Being there with us in spirit is great, but we need people to hold the MOAB (Mother of all banners), other signs, and flags. Maybe you can't come every week, but please make it your patriotic duty to join us at least once in the near future.
As always, the DC Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect.
Briefly, they are: No violence. No profanity. No racism. No provocations. Obey the law. Treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 7200 Georgia Ave., at Elder St., NW
Patriots should have all four corners of that intersection with Protest Warrior having the permit for the two corners on the West and Free Republic DC Chapter having the permit for the two corners on the East.
On street parking is usually easy to find. Location is about 6 or 7 blocks from the Takoma metro station and is walkable, but it is best if you get a ride. If you want a ride, FReepmail tgslTakoma and me (I'll be away from my computer part of the time), preferably with your cell phone number as far in advance as possible. We'll do our best to arrange a ride from the Takoma Metro station for you.
FReepmail me to get on or off the list.
Now that we have all four corners of the main Walter Reed gate (only one that's open that time of day), we must have enough people to hold the 4 corners, lest the Pinkos return to some corners to better play their mind games on the wounded and their families. You can be one of the people who help us hold off the Pinkos and cover the backs of our war-wounded heroes.
Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.
If we can sufficiently outnumber the leftists often enough, embarrassment may cause some leftists to stop these outrageous morale-damaging ("Maimed for a lie" was one of their signs) demonstrations at the hospital. At the very least, we can peacefully and lawfully minimize the effect of their psych-ops against the troops.
Our troops are bold enough to face bullets, mortars, IEDs, and suicide bombers. Are you bold enough to get out from behind the keyboard, FReep in person, and stand up for the wounded troops at Walter Reed?
If you're in the DC area and don't have family, work or medical considerations that keep you from FReeping, can you spare a few hours on a Friday night? Will you?
I'm sitting here trying to imagine if I opposed this war, would I even CONSIDER bothering the wounded troops and their families, and just the idea makes me depressed. What kind of evil jackass would actually protest outside a hospital for wounded American soldiers? Unbelievable.
I'm usually all over the caption threads but I can't think of anything funny to say about that disgusting person.
Great job, folks. Posting it here gets the message out to the rest of us, so please keep it up. Your hard work is no doubt much appreciated by the families of the injured. The soldiers can probably brush off most of those fools, but seeing YOU out there no doubt makes their families feel a lot better about those pathetic few protesting. So keep it up for the soldiers AND their families.
With you in spirit and prayer.
You said it well, Darkwolf. We do so thank all who support this FReep. The posts and photos get the message out, so please keep it up. Your hard work is no doubt much appreciated. Seeing YOU out there no doubt makes their families feel a lot better.
I'm with you 100% in questioning what kind of evil jackass would actually protest outside a hospital for wounded American soldiers.
Badda-BUMP!
Morning Bump!
Wish I could be there tonight. Maybe soon.
Bumpity - Bump
bump for the troops!
Great job! Thank you for all you do. It is very important that our troops see support.
It appears that Allison Yorra B#**h has taken over at Walter Reed. It looks like Gael (You've failed) Murphy has been pulled.
BTTT - keep up the good fight and know you're in our prayers here in Phoenix!
thank you.

Fabulous collage! Too beautiful not to get wide distribution - greeting cards, calendars, at least the cover of a Veteran's magazine --- Do you have it copyrighted? All proceeds to go to Mologne House or something?
I heard Josh Sparling on Sean Hannity's show yesterday - he has moved to Mologne.
Good morning bump!
Bumpin' in the AM!
Allison Yorra's arms are always ready for a hug from Eve Ensler.
Count me in for tonight!
