Of course decent people aren't going to tune into the Oscars to watch gay propaganda. Send a message to Hollyweird and tune out.

This is a brilliant time for some other network to counterprogram the heck out of the Oscars. Usually the other channels, nets and cable go into rerun mode. If I were FOX, I would do something huge and capitalize baby!!!!

Aren't they having a "Life of Snails" documentary on the Discovery channel that night?

Next time, try nominating something people actually went to see.

Hollywood is on a relentless March toward irrelevance to the average consumer. Look for the dramatic rise of independent movie making with new movies delivered completely digitally and directly to the consumer.

I was going to watch the Oscars, but I have a more exciting evening planned. I'm going to attend the Grand Opening of a new Umbrella.

Oscars? Never heard of 'em. And what's an ABC anyhow?
The snail documentary sounds great, I think I'll watch that one.

I was going to tune out even before they announced the nominations because I can't stand that antisemitic Jew Jon Stewart.
To: jimbo123
If they are going to ignore the really good movies (e.g., Dukes of Hazzard), who's going to watch?

I get a little tired of Hollywood continually patting themselves on the back. I bet even the actors themselves must hate the sight of a red carpet.

I've known the Oscars were politically-motivated and irrelevant for years, but it really hit home for me again when Cinderella Man didn't get any nods this year. It's one of the best movies to come out of Hollywood in years, and Russell Crowe deserved an Oscar for his portrayal of Jim Braddock. Of course, he didn't even get a nomination. Guess they were too busy nominating gay-lifestyle movies this year to actually recognize a great movie (IMHO).

I don't see why. I expect Brokeback to take one or two awards. There are much more pointed ways to poke in the eye of the conservative movement.
