For All The Ladies Of The Canteen
Special Places

As a cat, I have many places
Open, secluded, large and small spaces
Where I can sit or curl up and close my eyes
To luxuriate and contemplate as the world goes by
The fist one I found as a kitten chasing a ball
Of yarn across the carpets and down the hall
Bouncing down the steps to the dark and shadowy place
To where yellow warmth streamed down upon my face
It felt so wonderful that I thought I'd melt
Pulling the ball of lush yarn close I felt
That I could stay this way forever and a day
Though Immobility is not completely a Cat's way
So, up and down, across and all around
Throughout every room of the House and on its ground
Seeking quiet solitude, seclusion and the warming Sun
I know I'll find a few more before I'm done

Awwwww...sweet. That cat looks like my Frosty. The sweetest cat I ever had. Got him from the pound because I was visiting there and he reached through the bars straight to my heart. I loved him.
