There are 1375 Parties nationwide, and WE are the biggest and the best! Tonight, President Bush, in his STATE of the UNION speech, will discuss America's leadership in the world and share his vision to lead America forward. To seize opportunities here at home, the President will outline the policies needed for the American people to continue to compete in the global economy.
Earlier today, the President sat with Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, and watched the Senate confirmation vote as they approved his nomination 58-42, fulfilling one of President Bush's most significant campaign pledges by placing on the Supreme Court another justice who will interpret the Constitution as the Founders intended, and not legislate from the bench. THANK you, President Bush! (Justice Alito was sworn in at 12:07 this afternoon as the 110th Supreme Court Justice)
President Bush also released a statement regarding the death of widow of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and met with TV reporters in the White House to give them a glimpse of his State of the Union, emphasizing his optimism for the future of America. He also continued to work on this speech for tonight.
The economy is strong, we are winning our War on Terror and it is a GOOD DAY in America, and a GREAT time to be a Bush-bot!
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose............ let's PARTY!!!!!!!!!
Just reporting in for the post game wrap up.
I was busy getting care packages out to Tal Afar and Mosul in time for Valentine's Day, and we got home just in time for the SOTU speech.
Hubby was very impressed with the speech.
I was taken aback by the childish response of the left side of the aisle. I think the Democrat response during the speech will not go over well with the average American. I think they just cut their throats for the the 2006 elections.
They just keep digging their holes deeper and deeper
Aloha, Nord!
Governor of Virginia Tim Kaine
Actor Kevin Pollak
I turned to Brit when c-span complained about how long it was taking W to exit and opened the stupid phone lines.
I turned Brit off when the harping started, about 2 minutes later.
Have a good dinner in wonderful Hawaii!
patricia, my reaction too.....they really looked childish.
Have a good meal
GOD BLESS GEORGE W. BUSH!
Jonny you will have mail shortly.
That's an insult to Kevin Pollack!
but Kaine bears a slight--SLIGHT--resemblance to Jeff Gordon :)
OUCH.
How many smirks on Shrillery's and Mary Landrieu's muggs, how many times did the Rats sit there, refusing to stand ... except in derision when he talked about health care ..and then, they made further fools of themselves ??
BUT
BUT ...
how fabulous that our two new excellent justices, the last confirmed with such indignity and viciousness, were able to bask in the glow of Pres. Bush's and the world's attention to their achievement and their rightful ascension to the Supreme Court??? Precious .. blessed moment. Justice Alito is SO humble and shy .. you could just see it on his face.
I wish I'd seen Mrs. Alito .. never saw her.
Thank God, for President George W. Bush! I have to have faith in God's hand, but right now the thought of his term ending is just unthinkable.
LOL..#688
LOL...Pollak's eyebrows look normal
Fox is now showing the spin alley now. Brian Wilson on and says its like a giant political meat market.
I find it safer for my psychological well-being to ignore ALL post-speech analysis . . . FoxNews has been a GREAT disappointment for several years now!
Who needs the networks/cable channels anyway, we get the best analysis we could want right here at FR!!
Yes, my new Gov. proposed a huge tax increase before he was even sworn in. Time to change states.
Brian Wilson on and says its like a giant political meat market.
I love Brian. He gets right to the point and expresses it well. :)
