Chip says the line the President said about working together was an odd thing to say because there is so much anger on the Hill and it's too late to do anything about itThe anger is only on one side of the Hill -- the side the President split in two yesterday when the Alito Cloture vote went down. The 'Rats were humiliated with that vote and look like fools to their supporters. Unable to find a way out, they are just blaming Bush for kicking their asses. Bunch of crybabies!

LOL. That's sort of the universal reply.
Speaking of tending ... thanks to you two for tending to this thread. Came in late. But Mrs. G said she hadn't seen TK yet, and darned if I saw him.
I'm watching to see if he doesn't drop out suddenly soon (sure looked like it yesterday). MA has a Governor (R), and in view that we might see another SCUSA nomination even this year, things might get interestinger. Wishful thinking, I know.

WILL BE FOUGHT TOOTH AND NAIL...AND WILL NOT PASS. On MSNBC, Chip Reed just said that NOTHING will be passed -- the Dems are dug in for the long haul.
I guess we'll just have to get on the GOPers to pass some stuff by 51 votes.

Their hooting and hollering at the fact that SS reform wasn't passed made me think of a bunch of monkeys in a cage. I know that sounds weird, but that's the image that came to mind. Not weird at all, and not an inaccurate image.

I liked that big smile I saw on Clarence Thomas' face when he shook Condi's hand tonight.
I think Clarence Thomas is going to be a happy man sitting in that Court.
