How is it invading your privacy by NOT wanting teachers to teach our kids about sex? You want the gov't to stay out or your bedroom-- FINE- I am all for that... but then where do the GOV't teachers get off invading my CHILD'S BEDROOM? MY VALUES that I teach MY CHILDREN?

that is what I mean.. it is the schools job to teach things like math, reading, spelling, history, etc...not to teach sex...biological facts? biological facts is knowledge... some knowledge needs maturity to coincide with it...
and as for taking my kids out of sex ed.. NO- We don;t have the right to take them out.. not if we want them to actually graduate....I have been through that with my son's school already....
I agree no child should be forced to pray.......no adult either for that matter...
If parents want their kids to know about sex- then it is THEIR job to teach sex... not the school...
it would be much healthier for these kids to learn how to open a savings account.. balance a check book, buy a house.. how interest loans work, IRA's, 401 K's, etc....
these are the tools that will help kids to succeed and lead better lives...not how to put a condom on a cucumber for Pete's Sake....
You are still not adressing the fact that it is not the SCHOOL'S or the GOV'T's JOB to teach it...
you are also dodging the fact that I have already told you- I DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE MY CHILD OUT OF THE CLASS...

they told me my son had to take the sex class to graduate...PERIOD....
do you know what they are teaching kids these days?
in MIDDLE SCHOOL they have "workshops" where the kids are broken into pairs... yes- they can be mixed pairs.. then each child is given a card with a word on it...but they cannot look at it..
let's say Suzie gets the word vagina... then she has it taped to her forehead.. the other student has to describe it so Suzie can guess the word....
yeah- that is VERY apropriate and necessary to teach biological facts....

LOL! I had to learn square dancing! I hated it then.. but glad I did it now...
We have line dancing and square dancing every New Years Eve.....hysterical watching some people do the Macarena! LOL!
