Good Monday morning, fellow Freeper political junkies. One of the more ridiculous episodes of political theater is about to play itself out on the Senate floor, as the John Kerry-led democrats mount an exercise in political futility which will further expose their total irrelevance..So join us today, or drop in on occasion, for the festivities...
LOL! I like your wife's idea!
I'd really like to know why he wasn't on hand to vote.
Oh yes! I hope so too! I think POTUS will make mention of him...lol.
Lol! Did you notice how he quickly looked down when he said that? It was almost as if he thought someone was watching him and he just might get snuffed or something if he said the 'wrong' name. Hmmm...
You're a very wise woman to stay away from the white stuff. And btw, saw where your daughter is moving close - I know that makes a mother's heart (yours) heart happy.
Actually I'd like "W" to nominate Janice Rogers Brown....They wouldn't dare filibuster her!
LOL! Right, I've never tried the apple dumpling thingy...lol. After I consume three of their biscuits and 2 side orders of their saw mill gravy, I can barely waddle out of the restaurant. :)
YES!, thank you, she and the children will be right across the street!
Is your cholestrol in check now?
Me too. It'll be known. The Senate record will include at least a comment about "necessarily absent," and oft-times, the Senator will express the reason for an absence.
Not that I think Hagel will be forthcoming, I think he won't be. But it's an interesting enough tidbit that the facts behind his absence will be known.
Don't give up just yet...after DIFI did a flipflop and said she'd vote for the FB, Cindy said, "Well, I may just run against her anyway. She's for the war and loooves Bush just waaay too much."
I'm paraphasing but that's pretty well the jest of it [was in today's Seattle Times.]
Guess she thought DIFI rolled over so easily with the first threat, she'd go for the whole ball of wax. Gotta agree, could be fun!
May I just say that you have been great through out this entire process. I've appreciated your informative posts.
What a relief for you after she was living on that rock out in the Caribbean with hurricanes whipping all around them. And wonderful the children live so close to Granny, eh? Just like the old days. Cayman is paradise - went there on a dive once.
Thank you for asking - My cholesterol is perfect now in all areas - took a year even with meds to get it there. I do not want to go there again. I'm not a salt person but sea salt, eh? Will have to look into that.
GOOD regarding your cholestrol. Sea salt --- I prefer it to that iodized salt. It's a taste preference with me. I use a lot less sea salt.
Yeah, Cayman is lovely, but after Ivan, she started making plans to exit. It's a matter of their safety more than anything else.
I haven;t eaten French Toast in years... now I'm wanting some, thanks to you...lol.
Let me ask you two something (seeing as how we have hijacked this thread from its original purpose).
Are your spring flowers and trees in bloom? Mine are here! I am stunned. The Japanese magnolia is in FULL bloom and ditto for most of the flowers in the yard.
I hope this is not an indication of a long, hot summer?
bigskyfreeper even told me that there's flowers in his yard now and he's in Montana!

As usual...you are spot on...I believe...Chafee has been given chances....but, the judiciary was one of the most important campaign promises by Bush...and Chafee just gave him the finger...
just like Specter has in the past.
