Let me ask you two something (seeing as how we have hijacked this thread from its original purpose).
Are your spring flowers and trees in bloom? Mine are here! I am stunned. The Japanese magnolia is in FULL bloom and ditto for most of the flowers in the yard.
I hope this is not an indication of a long, hot summer?
bigskyfreeper even told me that there's flowers in his yard now and he's in Montana!

NOticed that some of the early spring flowers were beginning to peak though the dirt, maybe a couple of weeks early. But nothing blooming. I'll be planting early peas this week sometime.

I have roses blooming all over the place - daffodils and iris are swollen to bloom within the week. I am an avid flower gardner when I am not on FR. Nothing has frozen back this year YET. I have a theory that a cold winter here makes for better and more blooms in spring/summer....a theory just based on observation.
I do not want to think of a longer hotter summer - we are running a/c now and then already.
Flowers blooming in Montana? FGS, don't tell Gore!
