One of the more ridiculous episodes of political theater is about to play itself out on the Senate floor, as the John Kerry-led democrats mount an exercise in political futility which will further expose their total irrelevance..So join us today, or drop in on occasion, for the festivities...

Sean seems to be giving the impression that the Dems ARE filibustering.

Hatch is taking them to the woodshed on "not enough time" nonsense.
Now he ragging on Kerry for complaining about debate and filibuster from Switzerland.
To: Mayflower Sister
Landrieu has already said NO to confirmation ... That would be news. She's against filibuster, and non-commital on the nomination.
To: GBoettner
LOL, does make one wonder doesn't it? As is happened in the admittedly unhinged Minority Leader's home state. Maybe trying to shift home state attention off Abramoff and the Indians?

Agreed. Just think of the humiliation factor if the vote is 59 with Ensign missing.
Judge Alito deserves his up/down vote!

I can't get too upset at Senators from RI or elsewhere in New England. Except for New Hampshire, those states are politically beyond hope.
But New Jersey -- Alito is FROM New Jersey, and BOTH of the 'Rat Senators will vote NO? (Not that either one of them got in via a fair vote -- Menendez was appointed and Lautencadaver illegally replaced the Torch on the ballot thanks to the SCONJ Kangaroos).

Are you sure? Last I heard she was "yes" on cloture, uncommitted on the final vote on Alito.

Hatch quoting Reid's comments last week that everyone had had ample time to debate.Uncle Ted sure wasted his time glossing over boilerplate leftist doom-n-gloom subjects.

Mayor of one of their largest cities. Seems like maybe the "Conventiuonal wisdom" is neither conventional nor wise. Amazing how gutless Republicans are of a fight. Watch the Democrats today. Wish our side would fight just 1/10th has hard instead of always advocating the do nothing "safe" course. How ashamed Ronald Reagan must be to see what sorry straights his party has fallen too.
