Whoa! President Bush on Face the Nation? I don't recall ever seeing him on one of these shows after he was elected. And Face to Nation to boot! My cable box is set to record this.

I might check out Dean briefly, just to see if his mental condition continues to deteriorate.

I remember hearing him on a radio show (I think before he announced his candidacy) and thought "Who is this guy, he's insane!"

I couldn't believe it when he ran for President.

Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. (born August 4, 1961) is a U.S. Senator from Illinois. He is the first African-American man from the Democratic Party ever to be elected to the United States Senate. He received international media coverage for his keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, delivered while he was still an Illinois state senator.

Obama won the open Senate seat while on leave from the University of Chicago Law School. He is the only African-American currently serving in the U.S. Senate, the fifth in U.S. history and the third since Reconstruction. Early life

Barack Obama was born at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii to Harvard-educated economist Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a native of Kenya, and S. Ann Dunham, of Wichita, Kansas. At the time of Obama's birth, both his parents were students at the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Barack initially was given the religion of his father which was Islam but eventually decided to embrace the Christian faith.

Of his years in Hawaii, Obama has written, "The irony is that my decision to work in politics, and to pursue such a career in a big Mainland city, in some sense grows out of my Hawaiian upbringing, and the ideal that Hawaii still represents in my mind."

When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father eventually returned to Kenya, and he saw his son only once more before his death in 1982. Ann Obama married another East-West Center student from Indonesia. In his early childhood while growing up with his mother, Barack used the name 'Barry'. The family then moved to Jakarta,
where Obama's half-sister Maya was born (Obama has other half-siblings from his father's other marriages). When Obama was ten he returned to Hawaii under the care of his grandparents, and later his mother, for the better educational opportunities. He was enrolled in the fifth grade at Punahou School, where he graduated with honors in 1979.

I think you might want to think about the fact that YOU decided to coming pick this fight with me. Prior to this I had addressed no comments to you in this thread. Don't try to play "poor little picked on me" because I choose to respond to your attack.

I'm sorry but I really am not interested in wasting my time trying to teach political reality to someone who utterly refuses to even think about anything beyond her own personal emotional whimsy. You want the President to play a tit for tat yelling game with the Democrats. You want him to act like a Radio Talk Show Host. That massages the feelings of the hard core but alienates the "moderates" and the undecided. That is lousy PR. It reduces the President to the Democrat's level. THEY WANT him engaged in the debate on THEIR terms at THEIR level. We want him LEADING not dancing to their tunes!

The job of "fighting back" is the Party and the other politicians in the party's job. If you actually bother to READ any of dozens posts here every day, you see it. IF all you do is listen to the Junk Journalists, YOU will NOT see it because they SPIKE any positive stories. Turn oFf the Junk Media! They are YOUR enemy and are NEVER going to agree with YOUR views no matter HOW much effort the President puts into it. The top three talk radio hosts reach MORE voters every week then ALL the Alphabet "nightly news" broadcast combined. The Whine all the Time Choir VASTLY underestimates the reach of the new media while VASTLY over rating the Junk Journalists ability to spin public opinion.

I find it incredibly arrogant that the usual set of Freepers, week in and week out, continually lecture the President, who has won multiple elections, on how to mange his PR. He has a number of very tough elections victories in his back pocket. Therefore he has proved competence on his side. I have seen NOTHING to suggest the people who spend 100% of their time lecture the President about "What he should do" have ANYTHING to show they are qualified to render any judgment on the matter.
