MTP
Russert to Frist: In hindsight shouldn't we have had more troops in Iraq? didn't find WMD.
[Russert, like Kerry, is living in the past. In hindsight .....]
May be Frist should show Russert this:
Poll finds surprising optimists Iraqis and Afghans are the among most optimistic people in the world when it comes to their economic future, a new survey for the BBC suggests.
For once, atleast be proud of what our Country did for the 2 Countries future - REAL GOOD.
Frist is absolutely awful on MTP. From the first moment I saw him I knew this was going to be a disaster. He was sitting on the very front of his chair with his arms propped on the table and was still rocking up and down nervously. He's toast.
And Russert has been arguing with him, not interviewing him. Tim is in his Carvillesque Democrat party attack dog mode. The hostility is ludicrous.
But it comes back to Frist being totally incapable of putting forward the basic arguments on almost any point that Russert raised. Almost every time that Frist started to reply I screamed "NO - don't accept his premise!" You lose whenever you let the other side set the terms of the debate. Things like "domestic spying" instead of "listening to terrorists international calls," or not immediately challenging Timmy's use of the phrase "blind trust" without qualifying that that term means you don't know how much of any stock you have, but you do know what stocks are there.
It's exactly like letting someone get away with asking "Will you agree to stop beating your wife? Yes or No?
Pitiful performance. Frist better refresh his surgical skills because he hasn't got a chance in the world of being elected President.
