I think all the dims have had their staffs searching for an Anita Hill or a judicial decision in which they could officially bork him. I think besides the filibuster playing to their base, this last extension is their last ditch effort to find something. It started last fall - they wanted an extension until the first of the year, then they didn't want the 1st week in Jan, Leaky wanted to start the 2nd week because his poor baby staff would still be on vacation (even though the rest of us went back to work Jan 2 or 3).
I saw a post or thread a few weeks ago about McCain's contributions from Indian tribes...and I was shocked at how much he got from tribes that live no where near Arizona.
You and I both feel that the dems will not be able to win in the next two cycles, however you and are are not what makes up most of the electorate. Right now things are iffy, but with all the soundbite material by the dems that have been so over the top,and anti American one would hope that the Pubbies running the Campaigns have been saving them up by the gross ready to load into heavy duty campaign ads. We cannot just feel they will be shut out of power again, we have to make it happen again. I know you and I and the Freepers are ready for the challenge, let's roll.
I thought they had, but didn't want to post something I was remembering and didn't have confirmation of (thought I had seen it, just couldn't find it quickly).
"Well...I think that the only "global climate warming" that most Americans worry about is the kind that comes in the form of a NUKE weapon....or a chemical cloud over a city."
Or, the cloud over DC from all the hot air ;-)
Also note. Campaign finance restrictions do not apply to Indian tribes. They can give as much as they want to give.
LOL...I didn't think of it that way...you sure do come in handy...to educate us on the ways of a monarchy.
Thanks! I knew there was an updated one (probably yours) but couldn't find it. C-Span should include Bill the cat - -he makes more sense than a lot of their guests and callers!
HMMMMMMMm and I wonder who has made sure that Indian tribes can contribute without restrictions???
I actually agree for the most part. My comment has to be based on our still fighting for every vote and not allowing them to get away with things. The very worst thing we could do is make any assumptions about automatically winning. Ain't gonna happen that way.
LOL
Who! Who! Who! Tell me, tell me!!!
No names, but I'll be his initials are John McCain. Do ya think?
What rationale went into making that regulation/law?
Okay...I have to leave for a little while to buy groceries (ugh)....
but, I dare say...since the replay of Fox Sunday hasn't even shown yet...we are in for one of the longest and BEST threads ever.
Don't you just LOVE it???
Be back soon...to contribute to that post count, JOhnnie!
I could guess but won't. I just remember that being pointed out on a previous thread, with cites to accuracy.
Only problem is the Left are going to have their own hard fought battle for the 2008 Nomination in the Dems. Not going to be as easy for Sen. McMedia to get cross overs in 2008 as it was in 2000.
No excuses, you will find access to a computer line or we will send you to Minnesota or Colorado for the rest of the Winter. Better get back home soon another Cold Front is coming, and remember you are a native Floridian. How did you get this thread up to these numbers today, and how did you make it so hyper-intelligent and informative? Bears repeating that this is the best Sunday thread ever.
LOL!
I am just amazed that this guy actually KNOWS me and not only puts up with it...but seems to enjoy it! LOL!
when we chat on hte fun I read news articles to him.....then rant and joke about it...he doesn't SUFFER through it.. he actually enjoys it..
how sexy is a woman reading news article over the phone? LOL! and then sharing her friends' thoughts on the news...and ALL her friends have names like:
Txsleuth; TEXOKIE; llevrok, Fudd Fan; snugs; saveliberty; defconw...etc...LOL!
the dates have been fun too....
Yeah, I agree. More people know more about McCain today, and have also realized the pandering to McCain by the MSM. Add in the age factor and it would appear even harder for him to get the nomination.
