Yes, eeevil, I know you wear your tinfoil hat! LOL
I agree Kath
Breaking news off SKY News alert report that train derail and went off cliff near Istbarud Pakstein at this hour they don't know how many people on board or any deaths
Also another report off Fox news it was ABC prettyboy Bob Woodwuff who was seriously wounded by car bomb in Iraq what is he Geraldo LOL!
So basically, Israel has them in a vise grip if they choose to tighten it they can bring Hamas to it's knees without dropping a bomb?
I wondered when you would get your stopwatch out LOL
According to Carter, the people who voted for Hamas were just for good services and the absence of corruption. They did not vote for the policies of violence. Sure.
From what I've read and heard, the country is split 33% R, 33% D and the rest I or other (greenies, commies, socialists, etc.). While it's only a little over 9 months to the next election, so much can happen in that time and there is so much going on in the world right now it's really hard to say. I will say that if the Pubbies remain positive, the WOT and in Iraq continue to go well, and if they can get make tax cuts permanent, and do something about the border, the election will swing towards them (I know, a lot of "If's" ;-) especially, if at least some steps are taken towards preventing voter fraud (we have 1st hand experience w that). The Pubbies need to get out in front of issues that are important to them and the American people and define their agenda, talking points and the election and not let the Dims do it for/to them (e.g., stay on offense and off defense as much as possible).
That's just MHO opinion as a 'regular American' - - -I'm not a political strategerist.
I'd say that was a "technically, yes".
Jimmah just said that there have been NO PEACE TALKS between the Israelis and the Palestinians in 3 years...
He said that Israel imprisoned Afafat..so no peace talks..and after Arafat..NO peace talks with Abbas..
WTH??? What was that meeting between Bush and Abbas and Sharon?? And..didn't Sharon and Abbas meet a few times??
Jimmy also said that Hamas has been behaving for a long time...??????
Oh...and even though he didn't say the the US should continue to finance the Palestinians with Hamas in control...he DID say that the EU and the UN should...which means US, because WE supply the UN with the funds.
Israel does have great leverage when it comes to the Palestinian/Hamas question.
If it wasn't for Palestinians working in Israel, the Palestinians would have no income either. They have no industry of their own whatsoever.
I don't know whether Carter lies to us or to himself more.
I just reread it, and found a blatant error - that happens more often when the data appears in more than one place! One paragraph should be ...
Of the remaining seven, five are against filibuster. That leaves a maximum of two Gang-of-14 Senators being willing to cast a vote for filibuster. None of them has expressed an intention to vote for the filibuster.
I suspect that before 2PM tomorrow, it'll be clear that 60 Senators will vote to confirm. That moots the cloture activity. In light of 60 votes to confirm the nominee, Reid and Frist are empowered to "vitiate" the cloture motion - deem it unnecessary. The effect of that would be "no cloture vote, and vote on the nominee occurs as scheduled, at 11AM Tuesday morning."
..I stay confused as to who belongs to what "gang" too.
I personally think 62-64 could be the high water mark on votes to end the filibuster. Fine with me though; 60 is all we need.
Then on to the next SCOTUS Justice and I choose J. Rogers Brown; double up on the minority position.
Hey rodguy, do you think Keifer Sutherland is really as out of control with his drinking (again) as all the tabloids are saying? I think he looks too good to be on benders like they are describing and that roll is so demanding you really need your senses about you...
Never met a sadistic dictator he didn't like
I hadn't considered that, and I'm sure you're right!
I didn't see the interview..so I can't comment further..since I don't know the context that Bush spoke about Clinton...
but, I do see your point...I don't like it either, when he has done it in the past..but, I understand why he does it.
Good point. We can add the current traitors that are leaking info about the NSA, the prisons in Europe that are/were holding WOT prisoners, etc.
Carter is doing a good job of reminding us of just how terrible he was as president and how we got into such trouble in just those 4 short years. He would have been perfect at the UN since he believes that all you really need to do is talk and talk and fund the bad guys.
