I think that he does that to needle people. If it bothers us, think of how much it enrages the folks at DU. LOL!
It's GWB's attempt at bipartisanship. Blechhhh...
LOL!! the MTP "voice" sounds like he is holding he nose...
Bump!
I just visited the dark side and nothing new posted on DIFI. I think she is NO on cloture and probably because of Cindy Sheehan but would never state it.
Obama told George S. he would reluctantly support the filibuster.
I think this would give them a solid 14 in support of Phil A Buster.
BTTT
How sad. I never knew that.
Question
How many members of Congress also have a Blind Trust as Frist does ??
Update on CBS about Bob Woodruff: Vehicle hit by IED 12 miles from Baghdad. All that is known is he is still in serious condition.
Bob got his start as an attorney.
Bob Schiffer: The soldiers who fight war know it is a dangerous business and they are willing to risk it. This isn't a reality show. Men and women fight the wars and we cover them. Our thoughts and prayers for all.
Thanks for the ping and the reminder of WHO we owe it all to: the men and women who serve and have served, who have sacrificed.
LOL...but, I was wrong...William Safire wasn't on today.
Byron York was the designated "conservative"...and, as usual, he makes some good points, but then gets them all wiped away, because when he is on with Fat Timmy, or Chrissy Matthews, he tends to start bashing Bush, when it isn't necessary...
BTW....HAGEL...just bashed Rove for characterizing the dems as being in a pre-9/11 mindset...and the Reps as being in a post 9/11 mindset...
Hagel was upset about that...puh-lllllllleeeeze
Teddy Kennedy for one, I think.
The MTP round table actually allowed a reasonable presentation of the legal arguments of the President's position on the NSA controversy. Byron York did a very good job of rationally laying out the case and the rest of the panel never really challenged anything he put forward. They wanted to stick to their faxed "talking points," such as "why didn't he just follow the law," implying that Bush broke the law.
They (I think York again) also correctly pointed out, in reference to the polling questions on NSA, that if you say "domestic wiretapping" people are split, but if you say "wiretapping Al Qaeda" then support is overwhelming. He specifically said that this is a fight over how you ask the question.
Maybe they did read my post on their web site.
Nah.
"DR. DEAN: The time is fast-approaching. And I outlined the broad outlines of our agenda. We're going to have specific plans in all of these areas."
Oh p-u-leeeeeeeese! Are these the same plans Kerry was going to bring out during and/or after the election? Or, are these the new, revised plans that they were going to bring out a couple of months ago and/or are these plans a revsion of the previous aforementioned plans???
Some more phantom plans. De PLAN, de PLAN!
When is someone going to call them on it and say show us the plan???
bump to the top
I am MY brother's keeper. I am not Howard dean's brother's keeper.
More likely they are not asked to appear
Yep ... along with a number of others
Yet the MSM doesn't question their Blind Trusts
Gosh...sorry, I didn't catch that...but, snugs just said that she recorded it..so maybe she can tell us later.
