but they were LEGAL immigrants

And while they brought the richness of their own culture, they immediately became americans with a loyalty and respect for their new country.

Not sure I believe this "bulletin".

I think it's one that will wind up on snopes.com.

That's right. I grew up hearing two different languages being spoken at family gatherings, depending on the side, and yet they all knew English well enough when they didn't care what the kids were hearing. In those days, they considered it essential to learn English and they tried hard to do it. People who didn't take the time and effort to learn English were looked down upon and speaking one's native language was frowned on. While I agree with some of it, I am also disappointed to have lost the chance to be fluent in two other languages.

Funny...I got a call from an RNC outfit a few weeks ago wanting money for congressional elections. Finally, after telling her I wasn't interested, she kept going and going.

I finally said, "Here's what you need to do. Go set up some booths along the Rio Grande and ask the illegals and Arab terrorists coming across the borders for a donation. Because that's who is benefiting the most from our policies. I'm sure they'll be happy to keep things as they are and will be glad to help out..." She hung up on me.

"...If there is anything that could cause the downfall of President Bush, it would be the lack of security on the border..."

I could not possibly care less about bush than I do. His downfall is of no concern, but the damage he has done to our beautiful America, and the conservative movement is unforgivable. The pivot issue in the next election will be illegals, not the war in Iraq.

regrettably this is the downfall of Bush....
if the border were protected and the illegals were being moved out of the nation, Bush wuld be at 85% job approval

So what do you think is the hold that Fox has on him? Why is it that Fox plays the "Macho Man" and Bush acts like a giggly little schoolgirl when they're together? Fox demands, Bush complies. Fox struts like a barnyard rooster, Bush hems and haws and makes lame excuses.

There is a really strange dynamic between those two -- and the net result is that the border stays wide open, and even though we all know the score, Bush persists in spouting the lamest lies imaginable, one stupid platitude after another, as if the border was the gate to Disneyland, with the occasional kid full of mischief jumping the turnstile.

He can't be that stupid.

NO ONE can be that stupid.

So WHY is he acting like Fox's well-behaved puppy?

WHAT the hell is going on here???

Does Fox have dirt on Daddy? Is there some tie-in with the Carlisle Group? Are there pictures of Brudda JEB in bed with a porcupine?

This is beyond surreal.

Our nation's mainland has been attacked for the first time in close to two centuries. THOUSANDS of innocent civilians brutally murdered.

Yet, our huge southern border remains wide open, with millions of illegals flooding in, including an increasing number of Islamists from the middle east!

And what does Our Fearless Leader DO? What does he SAY?

He DOES nothing, and he SAYS "don't worry, be happy, ain't it great to have these wonderful folks come here to help us!"

WTF?????

What can I say beyond "This does NOT compute!"

The Daily Bulletin should change it's name to the Daily Bull. Five Mexicans bringing explosives into the United States to sell to an Iraqi in San Francisco? Come on guys. This story doesn't pass the smell test.

Yeah, what kinda crap are they trying to pull. We ALL know that the border is sealed tight as a drum. NO ONE gets in unless they're clean as a whistle.

We have NOTHING to fear except our own HATRED of Our Mexican Friends, who ONLY want to do the jobs Americans won't do.

(Did I get that right? You got my billing address down? When can I expect the check? Anything else you'd like me to say?)

But Department of Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke said the document is an internal memo and that there are doubts to the credibility of the threat.

Seems like a rather convoluted process to get what is already available in the USA.

What the you know what is Bush THINKING with this denial of STRONGER BORDERS?

If he keeps this idiotic denial up, we'll wind up with a lamebrain Demoncrat

You might want to rethink that.

Hitlary may be evil, but she's no lamebrain. She is smart as a snake and cunning as the day is long.

Soooooo...we have the DHS Bulletin warning that shows that Jerkoff-Chertoff is nothing but a Jorge Arbusto STOOGE, an inveterate liar, and complicit in the continuing sell-out of America that puts Americans in danger more and more, while the Ruling Eeeee-Lites are safe in their gated enclaves...

"Ahead Sell-Out Factor 10, Mr. Chertoff!"

Look folks, we have to protect the Constitution by not profiling Latin Americans. The illegals from South of the Border are here to better their lives and only want to work. How do we know these Mexicans weren't trying to engage in capitalism by selling their explosives to a rock quarry or mining operation?

The fact that there may be some Terrorists mixed in with them is the price we have to pay to insure that civil rights in this country are not sacrificed in the name of security.

Besides, profiling is racially motivated and hurts people's feelings.
