I met Leo in 1991 when he was part of the Marlboro Music Festival Chet Atkin's Guitar Master's Tour. Besides Chet & Leo, Larry Carlton, Steve Wariner, David Hungate, Randy Goodrum and Larrie Londin were along. I was close friends with Larrie (who passed away August 24, 1992). My friendship with Leo has endured.

The photo is from a concert in New Hampshire in 1998. Leo is a wonderful guy and his talent is awesome. He served in the US Navy and a submarine accident left him deaf on the left side. Even with his handicap he has perfect pitch and sings in a lovely smooth barritone. It was Leo who introduced me to Tuck and Patti (Andress) who's music I play here often (3 tunes last week).
