Sheehan to Feinstein: Filibuster Alito, Or I'll Run Against You

(CNSNews.com) - Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan has threatened to run for Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-Calif.) seat unless Feinstein filibusters Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito.

She should run! We should all donate to the cause! If Cindy defeats DiFi in the primary then we actually have a chance of winning this seat.

Liberals may be crazy but they're not stupid. Besides, a debate between Feinstein and Sheehan would be like watching a Harvard law professor debating a four year old.

Too weird for words. I did part of my growing up in SF and lived in the Bay Area off and on for years, including during a period when DiFi was Mayor. She was actually not too bad (although not too good either, because she wasn't aggressive enough on SF's big "homeless" and quality of life problem) and she was by no means a left wing nutcase. She's gotten worse and worse as a senator, however, and now it's hard to remember the DiFi of old.

I'm not too familiar with her position on other issues (since I can't vote in California, it doesn't matter much), but I know that she has *always* been a rabidly extreme anti-gun loudmouth, and that trumps any possible "good" she might otherwise have.

But I will give them this: They know how to organize. If we had agitated like this in 1999, Clinton would have been convicted and thrown out of office.

Anyone with a spine would have ignored Sheehan but not Feinstein. She is ridiculous and she also showed to the country how ridiculous her party is. If you bow down to a freak like Cindy Sheehan you'll run and hide from any threat to this country. Feinstein is pathetic.
