Here in a file photo from a previous Tucson protest, the lady in the middle, Pat, is known as the "General"
and organizes the Weekly Wednesday protest as well as many Support the Troops rallies
and functions in Tucson. Husband Bob behind her designed the "Osama loves Cindy" heart sign.

With them are activist Russ Dove and blogger Joel Gains

Great report! And great work, too! I particularly liked this part: the pro Americans devised a secret method to find out exactly when they were going to be there and show up at the same time. Good intel is VERY important, as Pres. Bush has pointed out numerous times.

"Try singing it yourself and you will see what I mean."

OMG, That was great, I love this! Having a Son in the Air Force I just can't help having one of those "you know what" grins on my face visualizing it. Not to mention NOW having the song stuck in my head, lol. If I can find the copies of some of the old Jodies they sing while running or marching I'll forward them to you.

Thanks for the excellent post and the time you spend countering these goof balls.

Tgsl - Thanks for the ping

\/\/ayne - Great report. Surprised that the "ex Marine" didn't join you in singing "The Marines Hymn." ....not.

I've been informed on many occasions that there is no such a thing as an ex Marine and no Marine can remain silent when the Hymn is being sung.

Yes and not only that some Marines were telling me that they really were supposed to be standing at attention when I sang it but they didn't want to put down their signs.

That struck me as a little too much so I told this joke:

You know how the Army tells time; 2400 is 12:00.
And of course for the Navy, 8 bells is 12:00.
The Marines know it's 12:00 when Mickey Mouse's hands are straight up!

I won't be able to make that day, unfortunately.
