WTF, there's a picture of Dowd, but not one of Michelle. This is blasphemy.

Stupidity is an inadequate explanation. She must be insane.

Dowd: "No, they're two entirely different things because when Bill Clinton would deceive, he would throw in a semantic clue that let you know he was deceiving. 'I did not have sexual relations with that woman.' We knew what he meant by that. You know, 'I did not,' about dope, 'I didn't break the laws of this country.' So it was sort of poignant and endearing. He would let you know he was lying, and then the right wing would come down so hard on him and overpunish him. And in the case of Bush, he's just in a completely different reality. You know, they call us the 'reality-based community,' and they create their own reality, and so Bush is just in a bubble. And when you're in the bubble, you don't know you're in the bubble."Uhhhhmmm....what? Only a liberal could say/understand/believe that.

Dowd is totally off the wall and obviously leans so far to the left that her left-hand knuckles are dragging the ground. I cannot read more than a few lines of anything she writes, as a gag-reflex starts soon thereafter and I feel like I'm going to throw up.

I happened to watch this segment last evening. It's pitiful and a great excample why MSNBC is a loser.

I think Maureen needs to have some fun and cheer up. Question is, where on earth would she go, and what in the world would she do to have fun. She sure looks mighty glum in this image. God, what is she so angry about? It must be a lot more than Michael Douglas and the Catherine Zeta-Jones deal. Did her dog die? Do her shoes hurt? Not getting enough Vitamin C? Needs to exercise? Hate sher job? Is jealous of Oprah?
Can life be this grim for old MoDo?

And when you're in the bubble, you don't know you're in the bubble." Dowd shot this one at President Bush, but it fits her so much better.

In other words we knew he was a liar, he knew he was a liar, we liked his lies and he liked lying to us and his lies were fun and we had fun with his lies and stoopid Republicans never got the hang of loving the lying liar and his lies - like we do ......

Wow. There's a woman that doesn't need to fear laugh lines.
Her take on Clinton is completely bizarre. Endearing? What does that mean? Why otherwise feminist women get behind scum like Clinton and Kennedy I will never understand. Ick.

Back when I was a kid, I used get in trouble for the same thing. It's called "quibbling" ( as in, 'to quibble'). Not that far from telling a lie, in fact it was the same as telling a lie, only with the hope that somehow you could weasel out of it if you were good enough at it.

I remember those pre-impeachment days when she, and the NYT editorial page in general, came down hard on Clinton. Her work was excellent. But then as if on orders from above, she abruptly turned on Starr and defended Bill. She lost her integrity, and hasn't yet begun to come back.

So, this woman, who writes columns and books about what a disappointment men are to her, thinks lies from the philandering Liar of Liars are "poignant and endearing". My brain hurts from tripping all over itself trying to figure this out.
