February 18, 2006 - CD of Saddam Hussein's WMD admission. "BIGGEST STORY OF THE YEAR"
Jonathon Batchelor Show - ABC Radio | 1-25-06 | Me

Posted on 01/25/2006 9:45:40 PM PST by SideoutFred

Tonight on the Jonathon Batchelor Show on ABC the guest was John Loftis. He claims to have a CD of over 12 hours of tape recorded conversations from 1988 to 2002 of Saddam Hussein, Tariz Aziz and 30 to 40 other Iraqi leaders talking about WMDs, how they hid them from the UN and a whole host of other tidbits.

Loftis said the CD has been validated by the NSA as genuine. He would not go into specifics, only that he called it the BIGGEST STORY OF THE YEAR and will release it on February 18th at the Intelligence Forum in Washington, D.C.

He said he was very skeptical at first believing the informatino is just "too good to be true" and would totally exonerate the Bush Administration. He obtained the disc from a source in the intelligence community. He had it verified by the NSA and they confirmed it is Azia and Hussein's voices. The theory is that Hussein wire tapped his own conversations much like Nixon and Johnson did and was going to either put this in a book or use it to thumb his nose at the world by showing them how easy it was too hood-wink the West over WMD.

Apparently there are more tapes / CDs available as this particular one has 12 hours of random conversations, some more than an hour long and some only 10 or 15 minutes long over a 14 year period.

Anyone else hear this tonight? I look forward to the 18th of February.

This right after that Iraqi general says WMD sent to Syria?

Hmmmm, is this another area Bush is finally hitting back on?

Missed Batchelor tonight. Probably true. Loftis has issues though. He's like Debka. When he's right, he's right. When he's wrong, he's on Pluto howlin' at the moon.

You always should remember that if it helps the Bush admin. it gets put on the last page of a newspaper, and if your lucky, maybe get a 15 second mention of it on CNN. Once!

tick, tick, tick.... I can hardly wait until February 18th. Nothing like b*tch slapping the dems again with the truth.

It does look like Bush & Company are enjoying playing some offense for a change. Thank God they found a playbook!

There was a former Iraqi general on Hannity & Colmes tonight saying they hid the WMD in Syria and Jordan. RAT thug bob beckel was subbing for colmes, and had nothing to say.

Having such evidence, it would be pure genius to retain it as long as possible.

One could rest easy at night while your critics made complete fools of themselves...

Batchelor asked Loftis if there is anything on the CD / Tapes about other countries. Loftis said "YES" and they name which nation states the WMD were hidden in, but he would not reveal the names.

Sorry for the spelling typos in the original. It should have said Tariq Aziz.

This is going to be interesting.

A twofer and I missed it!

I am glad the WMD thing is finally being reported. I'm sick of hearing that argument!

He obtained the disc from a source in the intelligence community.

I would say this "source" is in a heap of trouble.

If the NSA "evaluated the audio" and found it to be authentic, then that means the NSA did not know about it. If the NSA is not the source, then who/what department is? I just don't see some CIA (or other) "source" just giving this type of data to a talk show host. Something does not seem right here.

I don't see how this could be the "biggest story" claim since any fair-minded person knows Iraq had WMDs since they used chemical weapons. We gave them one year advance notice that we are coming so they had one year to move the stuff to Syria or other.

Only the RATs refuse to acknowledge the obvious.

It means nothing if the media does not report it--the masses of asses will continue to be hooked up to the government/media matrix.

February 18th be damned!!! Bush needs to play this in his State of the Union Speech if he wants to get the information out there. Then Scott McClellan needs to make this the focus of his next 64 daily press conferences.

He's had the playbook all along. Bush is just playing poker. You will never see his all cards until he folds his hand on Jan. 20th, 2009.

"He said he was very skeptical at first believing the informatino is just "too good to be true" and would totally exonerate the Bush Administration."

The Bush Administration needs no "exoneration."

Saddam hussein shot at U.S. war planes enforcing the UN no-fly zones over Iraq. That's an act of war.

Hussein paid rewards to the families of suicide bombers in Israel, our ally.

Hussein violated the terms of his 1991 Gulf War Surrender Agreement. Again, an act of war.

Hussein housed and fed noted terrorists in Iraq for years prior to 2003 (e.g. Abu Abbas and Abu Nidal...both of whom died in Iraq).

And the U.S. Congress said that we could use force to rectify all of the above.

We don't need some tape recording to tell us that we were right. We already know it.

And with the help of a few "friends" Saddam got all the money he needed...

Appointee linked to Iraq kickbacks

By Marian Wilkinson National Security Editor
January 26, 2006

A BUSINESSMAN appointed by the Howard Government to the US-led occupation government in Iraq personally sanctioned kickbacks to Saddam Hussein's regime, according to evidence uncovered by the inquiry into the oil-for-food scandal.

Trevor Flugge, the former chairman of the wheat exporter, AWB, was named in an internal AWB email dated September 2002 which describes a scheme to evade UN sanctions on Iraq by funnelling money to Saddam's regime through a London company called Ronly Holdings.

The email, written by AWB's head of international sales and marketing, Michael Long, said that Mr Flugge and another AWB executive "were aware of the deal and sanctioned it".
