NEW DELHI - A landmark nuclear deal between India and the United States will “die” in Washington if New Delhi supports Iran at the upcoming meeting of the U.N. atomic watchdog agency, the U.S. ambassador said Wednesday.
A week before the International Atomic Energy Agency meets to discuss Iran’s nuclear program, U.S. Ambassador David Mulford said that if India does not vote to refer Tehran to the U.N. Security Council, it would be “devastating” to the deal currently before the U.S. Congress.
“I think the Congress will simply stop considering the matter,” Mulford told the Press Trust of India news agency.

it is a reply to Saberwielder who is questioning my loyalty/racial purity.
That says all I ever wanted to know about you. Now, why would anyone care what a non-American troll who hides his nationality thinks? I suggest you flame against India in a forum that belongs to people of your nation.
So please con tinue this tripe with your friends who you said believe that FR is a "hate site." Good bye and don't bother responding to this post.
Liar. Where did I talk of race? You admitted you are not an American and don't intend to be one. I called you on that! Troll!
Didn't the ancestors of the modern native Americans wipe out the locals who were already here?
I'm afraid I don't have any divided loyalties nor do I pledge allegiance to other nations' flags. My ancestors were here when the first shot was fired on Bunker hill and we haven't saluted flags other than the Stars and Stripes since then. BTW, it is spelt a-d-h-o-m-i-n-e-m. Please consider this our last communication, Mr. "I'm here on a visa and I pretend to be an American"
sure sounds like you pledge allegiance to the flag of india from the look of this thread. At least i am honest in my profile unlike you who doesnt even have one (who's the troll)
BTW when you need to point out spelling mistakes in my post, that means you lost.
why dont you fess up and tell us where YOU are really from are you claiming you have no immigrant blood? are you really that racially pure? my gracious we have here a pure aryan anglo-saxon on our hands.
Go back to DU you troll you national socialists should stick together.
I don't need a foreigner who believes that FR is a "hate site" telling me what to do. Most Americans are descendants of immigrants but the operative word is A-m-e-r-i-c-a-n, as in what you aren't and what I am.
BRIC... New World Soviet Union.
Yeah, i actually didn't initially realize this guy was a troll. its not that obvious when you read his/her initial replies.
You are a liar and you have lied time and again. You used "us" to curry favor on this board when you knew you weren't an American. This is a classic example of trolling.
Now go away, lying troll.

"Yes, India was against us for much if the 20th century but the cold war is over. France was allied to us all those years but it isn't today. Poland was our enemy then but is allied to us now. The Bush administration has made it a main feature of its foreign policy to reach out to like minded nations irrespective of the past. Forging an alliance with India is a key part of that new policy. Are you telling me that we should let the Cold War alliance dictate who our allies will be in the 21st century? Is the Bush policy wrong?"
I am not suggesting any of those things. I have long been hopeful of establishing a better relationship with India, but I am also a realist. I am stating what I think will happen, not what I hope will happen. And what has happened in the past is that India has continually sided with Russia and China and will most likely do so again. India has even improved their sometimes strained relationship with China, which makes it even more likely that they will not side with us. I believe Russia,China, India will stand with Iran while Pakistan and the former Soviet states stand with the West. Hopefully this will not happen, but it is where I see the situation going.
I also disagree about France not being our ally.I believe they will be with us on the Iran situation, and will take part in the military action that will most likely occur. They had their own reasons for not going into Iraq with us, but they have still been helpful in the WOT especially in Afghanistan and in tracking al-Qaeda cells in Europe and Africa. It would have been nice if they were more helpful with Iraq, but that is in the past now.
"The West" is a relic of the cold war. Europe is increasingly irrelevant and grows farther apart from America culturally and politically every day.
I'm with TR, we are an AMERICAN civilization, not part of any "Atlantic community" with the Euro-peons.

I think we will found out where these nations stand in the coming months and years. How they deal with the Iran situation will be very telling. I believe we have more in common with the Euros than we do with any other nations on the Earth, excluding Austraila and Canada. When it comes down to it, the US could really use Europe because Asia is not with us. Russia, China, and India will be major threats to US power in that region over the next century, and we know where the Arabs stand. We just need something to wake up Europe and this Iran thing may be it.
are you actually defending india's possible support for the mullas getting nukes?
