I have read that Perot had/has a visceral hatred for the Bush family. Does anyone know the genesis of that (if true)?

Perot is from Texas, Bush might as well be from Texas and I would say there well might be some truth to those stories.

I know I was shocked when I learned there was a strong link to Clinton and Perot and Clinton -- while being an immoral AH -- is a pretty good political strategist (blackmail works wonders) and I think there is a lot there on the Perot/Clinton strategy. Bush 41 was overall a pretty popular person and they had to use some shenanigans to beat him and knew Clinton, a virtual unknown, couldn't do it all by himself.

It's definitely true that Perot has a long-standing beef with the Bushes, but I've never heard it explained fully (and I live here--Texas, that is).

A half-crazed guy with unlimited funds and a halfway convincing spiel (Perot) gave us 8 years of Clinton.

He hasn't raised his head around here much since then.
