Good morning once again, all you fellow political junkies. Put on a fresh pot of coffee, put the sticky buns in the oven, put a fresh battery in the remote control, and join us for the latest episode of the world's greatest daytime soap opera, "As the Democrats Bloviate." Yup, once again, it's that time...
Cheap bast**ds. Heck, if you don't have a job that's about all you could get together, 10 bucks.
I can only imagine the prerecorded fund raising calls hitting Berkley, the Hamptons, and Ithaca tonight: "This is Ed Asner. My friend Harry Ried is fighting to keep Sammy 'The Big Gavel' Alito's hands off your fallopian tubes but he needs your help. An emergency donation to the DNC of $250, $500, or $1000 will allow..."
Of course I can't get too self righteous: The RNC and NRA are circling my wallet like vultures at this very moment.
Why does that mean something is very wrong? Maybe the Dims just saw that we already have 49 votes and will make the 51 with no problem so why keep everyone up late for no reason at all?
Would you give it a rest? I didn't wade through 2300 posts.....but I did see where you're voting for a Dim.
Your opinion matters not one iota to me after that comment.
I thought I heard this morning he left his proxy with Reid... bet he and Jimmy Carter are having a gay time, over there, plotting his run for POTUS in '08.
LOL. Free speech for thee, and not for me?
Yeah same here, but the one big difference is the RNC/NRA, etc are not lying through their teeth and soliciting for such an absolutely lost cause (Alito confirmation).
Most FReepers would see through the DNC requests concering this lost cause, but alas, the DUmmies just keep on sending the 5 and 10 bucks, cry in their beers, threaten to join the Greenies, keep on being disappointed by entirely all the promises made and broken.
Funny as hell to me.
Has Santorum done anything right during his tenure in the U.S. Senate?
It doesn't mean a thing.
OMG, it's back???? :-)
I've never heard of proxy voting in the Senate.
yep
I love these people who come to "teach us a thing or two."
Sure. And every bit of it was relegated to insignificance the moment he endorsed and campaigned for pro-abortion Arlen. That was the wake-up call. Anyone who could do that, given Arlen's track record, clearly sold his proferred principles to party protocol, to political exediency, to personal ambition.
Since the wake-up call, I've listened to his words, watched his deeds....compared the two, and I find gaping incongruencies.....he's a socialist that speaks like a conservative when he's on the stump...stumping for money. Watch what he does, the bills he sponsors...that tells a completely different story than his words.
Talk is cheap, and he's a cheap, unprincipled, pandering opportunist...nothing more. Please see: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/opinion/columnists/mcnickle/s_317352.html
I can't remember what the vote was for...but remember when Kerry missed an important vote during the campaign??
If they have "proxy" votes in the Senate...wouldn't he have used that then? He took a lot of heat from his own party, IIRC...over that missed vote.
Oh me too...lessee...am I Sleepy, Dopey or Dumbo tonight? I've got a lot of learnin' to do.
Specify Santorum conservative votes that were relegated to insignificance. Just two or three, please. Humor me.
Every bit of his pro-life work was relegated to insignificance by his support of Arlen Specter...every bit of it.
I never ever trust or believe people who have so many "cuts and pastes" right at their fingertips.
