Note to the LA Times....297 million Americans also havent seen Brokeback Mountain.
To: BurbankKarl
I'd venture to say that there's no possible pitch that could make Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal having buttsex something that the vast majority of red-blooded American males would want to pay to see.

It's BROKEBACK MOUNTIN', damnit! You think Hollyweird would at least get the title right.

The movie, featuring the love story of two gay cowboys, I wonder if even the mediots have seen the movie, since they don't even know what main characters do.

At least Bush seemed to handle the situation well. It sounds like he didn't say or do anything that would be replayed over and over again as a sound bite on "The Daily Show" when the show's writers run out of remotely amusing things to say.

But he was decidedly noncommittal today and even a bit nonplused when asked for his reaction to the most talked-about ranching film in years: "Brokeback Mountain." The LA Times thinks Brokeback is a ranching film? So it's all about ranching then...kind of like a documentary? That seems strange, because from what I've read about it I thought it was a "gay cowboys in love forsaking all else including their families to be together" film. Now that I know it's a "ranching" film, I just might go see it.

Correction-two homosexual sheep herders who leave their wives to pack fudge. Not plausable outside the LA city limits.

I thought the question stupid, why ask the president of the United States that question.? Reminded me of the set up question to Clinton about what kind of shorts he wore.

even in conservative, red-state towns and cities that helped reelect Bush I seriously doubt if too many people who re-elected GWB went to see this movie, no matter what color the state is.
And let's not get too carried away here ... the movie has grossed $42m. Pretty decent, but hardly a blockbuster as the media is trying to proclaim it as.

I think the guy who was asking Bush if he saw it was just trying to make him look like an idiot...or bait him into saying something about homosexual behavior.

"You would love it," the questioner persisted. No, he wouldn't. Bush is "normal"!

I feel no need to see Humpback Mountain, having already caught the essence of it in that one scene in ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY where Champ tells Ron "I miss you...I miss your scent...I miss your musk" while the other guys on the News Team shift around and look extremely uncomfortable, and finally tell him to "just stop talking".
